Product Reviews: L’Oreal Kids Strawberry Smoothie Shampoo & Grape Conditioner

Flyaways, Haircare, l'oreal, L39oreal

I’ve been using L’Oreal Kids Strawberry Smoothie Shampoo and L’Oreal Grape Conditioner on my 3-year-old daughter’s hair for about a year now. When she was approaching age 2, I knew I wanted to buy her some kids shampoo and conditioner just for her, but I didn’t know which brand to try, that is until my local grocery store had a buy one get one free sale on the L’Oreal kids haircare products.

I let her choose her own shampoo fragrance among the L’Oreal Kids fruity fragrances in the store. She chose Strawberry Smoothie but there was also Orange Mango Smoothie and Blueberry Shampoo that we can maybe try next time. The Grape Conditioner was a given, as it was the only L’Oreal Kids conditioner in the store and looks like it may be the only one at the L’oreal Kids website, as well.

The L’Oreal Kids Strawberry shampoo comes in a pink container with a red top. It smells so delicious – really! You have to go and smell it, it’s that good. The shampoo itself is pink and creamy and makes a great lather in her hair.

The L’Oreal Kids Grape Conditioner comes in a purple container with a green top. It smells very good also, but doesn’t beat out the better smell of the Strawberry Shampoo. The conditioner itself is white and very thick and rich.

After shampooing and conditioning, my daughter’s hair always comes out with fewer tangles than she had before washing. Sometimes there are even no tangles left. The combination of these two haircare products makes my daughter’s hair feel really soft and look nice and healthy after washing. It definitely does way better than your random baby shampoo, which is what we used before these L’Oreal Kids products.

Both containers say 9 Fl. OZ., although the shampoo container is a bit shorter than the conditioner container. The conditioner does have an odd shape to it, which makes it easy for a child to grip. Also, both L’Oreal Kids products claim “No Tears! No Knots!” The shampoo additionally claims “No Split Ends!” and the conditioner additionally claims “No Flyaways!” With promises like those, you expect a lot from them, and they haven’t been a disappointed for us at all.

We happened to purchase some great kids haircare products without little research into them. And I’ve already stocked up for when these two products run out since our grocery store just ran another buy one get one free sale.

We want to keep these L’Oreal Kids products around. Besides taking care of my daughter’s hair, these products are also a bright touch to our bathtub and leave the bathroom smelling great!
