I have a combination, acne-prone skin but still love those thick, moisturizing creams on my face. As you know, the thick cream cause breakouts on an acne-prone face, so most experts would tell you to stay away from the creams and stay with the oil-free moisturizers that, for winter, can be very drying. But, with the harsh winter, I just had to find something that has oil so my skin won’t be covered with dry patches- and I found the perfect one- Vitamin E Moisture Cream by The Body Shop.
The texture is amazing. It’s not thick like some creams can be, but it’s not watery so that it’ll be hard to handle, when I reach in to the jar, it feel so soft, I love it. So, it’s very easy to apply and doesn’t leave any sticky or streaky residues. And just to warn you, this might feel heavy for like a minute you put it on, but after that minute, it all gets absorbed, you forget you have any on you.
The fragrance is just classic cosmetic scent- just a light flowery scent, but not too much so that it’ll stay on your face for a long time. You will feel the scent as you put it on, but after, the smell will be gone and won’t linger at all.
The best thing about this is that it doesn’t cause any breakouts. I first started using this in the winter when I got breakouts but my skin was so dry the skin around my zits was flaking. The Vitamin E Cream helped a lot. For those kinds of acnes, most of them won’t be as obvious when you get adequate amount of moisture in your skin and the flakes around it is gone. And this cream does just that. It makes my skin so hydrated and healthy with vitamin E. Also, because this cream has vitamin E in it, it will make your face so soft and make your skin healthier so that you will have more of that natural glow. And I did feel this in the first few times that I used this, but it’s not extremely obvious, so if you are looking for something that will make your skin healthy and glow, this isn’t the best. Also, this will make your face so soft after you use it, but again, this doesn’t always happen. I do feel the softness in my face after using this for a few times, but not always. And there are many products that are better at making your face soft, so if you want soft skin, again, this isn’t the best.
Thebodyshop.com says that one vitamin E cream is sold every 0.5 seconds. Well, I don’t know if this is completely true, but this soft, non-sticky cream with great fragrance that doesn’t cause breakouts at only $14 sure won my heart!
