Product Review of Ugg Boots: They May Be “UGGLY” but I Still Love Them Anyway

Ugg, Ugg Boots, Uggs

About 4 years ago, I noticed a lot of women wearing these boots called “Uggs”. At first I thought “yep they named them correctly, because they sure are ugly!” My best friend soon got a pair and kept on telling me how comfortable they were. Without getting into all sorts of sordid details about my atrocious feet, I can say that it’s very difficult to find shoes that don’t give me blisters. So although they were a bit pricey ($120.00) I decided to try them out. I purchased a pair of the Classic Short Ugg boots and must say that they are amazing!! I can honestly tell anyone who is reading this review that the UGG Classic Short Boots are the most comfortable pair of boots/shoes I’ve ever worn.

The official Ugg Website says this about the Classic Short boot:

“The UGG Classic Short is UGG Australia’s most popular women’s sheepskin boot! The Classic Short boot features lavish twin-faced sheepskin for the utmost comfort. Precision craftsmanship is evident in the Classic Short’s reinforced heel, raw seams and signature UGG heel label. Slip into the Classic Short boot and feel UGG Australia luxury.”

About The Boot

UGGS are created using very high quality sheepskin which they call ‘twin faced’ meaning that they’re treated both on the outside (skin side) and the inside (wool side). This unique ‘material’ allows the boot to breathe and wick to keep the feet dry. In addition, sheepskin is by nature water resistant. UGG states that their boots will keep bare feet cool in temperatures as low as -30F to 80F, since sheepskin naturally insulates. The stitching and soles are highly durable and the boot as a whole is very well constructed.

The boot is very lightweight. They may look heavy but they aren’t. When wearing them, it actually feels like you’re walking around in socks or slippers. These boots are meant to conform to each person’s individual feet and fit snugly, but not tightly.

Tips On Wearing UGGS

1)Always buy your UGGS one size smaller than you would normally buy. These boots run big. I normally wear a size 8 in boots and I ordered these in a 7 and they fit perfect.

2) Wear them without socks. The unique material in the boot forms to your foot for maximum comfort. The best way to wear them is WITHOUT socks so you can feel the warmth.

3) It’s advisable to buy some kind of care product for your UGGS to to waterproof them and keep them clean. They should last you a good long time with proper care.

4) If your boots get wet in one spot and they leave a mark just take a wet cloth and wet them fully. That way when your boots dry, they’ll dry evenly with no spots.

4) Don’t wear your UGGS in icy conditions. Although they’re extremely warm, they do not have a very good grip and I’ve slipped on a ice a couple of times.

5) These boots can be worn straight up or cuffed and can be worn with just about everything. So be sure to experiment.

Conclusion

I practically live in these boots. I wear them to walk to work, change shoes in my office, and then switch back into them if I know I’m not going to meetings for a while. I wear them on the weekends while running errands. I have even worn them to church! It’s so sad to think that when the warm weather comes around I will have to wear sneakers and sandals again! The only negative thing about this boot is the lack of arch support. If you have a very high arch, you may not find these boots to be as comfortable as I do.

Ugg boots may not be the most flattering boot, however, what it lacks in looks, it makes up for in comfort. I highly recommend them!
