Picture Name Cards for Your Wedding Reception Dinner Tables

Scrapbook Paper, Wedding Craft

These elegant picture name cards are the perfect new way to let your wedding guests know which seat is theirs at the reception. If you are having seating arrangements at your wedding reception these simple photo cards are the way to go.

Your wedding reaction tables are the icing on the cake at your wedding. Creating beautiful small touches for your wedding reception table can be fun and rewarding. In place of a traditional name card at each seat try using a fun photo of your family or wedding reception guest. Even if you aren’t having a formal dinner these name cards are a great way to include everyone in this day of thanks. You can simply place them at random around on the dinner tables as photos for guests to enjoy!

These picture name cards are perfect for the wedding reception table. You can use pictures of each for your guest or mix and match a variety of pictures.

Pinking Sheers

Small folding picture holders

Scrapbook paper or brown paper bag

Ribbon that Matches Your Wedding Colors

Tip: As you have bridal showers, engagement parties, and other social engagements slowly build a portfolio of photos of all of your wedding guests. This way when you go to make this simple wedding craft project you won’t be scrambling to find photos of everyone!

The first step is to cut out your family and guest photos with pinking sheers. I like a square for this project, but a rectangle works as well. If you do not want to cut your photos you can copy them and print them on regular paper. For a romantic look you could print them all in black and white.

Lay your photo out on your scrap book paper. Make sure you use an elegant scrap booking paper or even a hand made paper.

Cut the scrapbook paper out about 1 inch wider than your photo. I like to use scrapbook paper that matches my Wedding Reception theme. If you want to save some money you could use some tissue paper. The back o f a brown paper bag looks great too. You could even use some wrapping paper that matches you Wedding Reception table setting. Be sure to cut this out with the same pinking sheers.

Lay your scrapbook paper out on your white water color paper and cut the water color paper (or card stock – you need something stiff) out about 2 inches wider. Use the pinking sheers again. You have now created three layers of paper.

Use a glue stick to glue the scrapbook paper to the watercolor paper. Then use the glue stick to glue down your Wedding Reception guest photo to the center of the scrap book paper.

Use the black picture corners to cover the corners of your scrapbook paper.

Punch two holes directly below the scrapbook paper. I like to space the holes in the middle between the bottom edge of the scrapbook paper and the bottom edge of the white water color paper.

Tie your ribbon through the hole by looping it into the holes from the front of the card. Again, this is the time to pay attention to small details. Make sure the ribbon matches your wedding colors.

Put one end of the ribbon though each hole. Cross them over each over in the back and pull each end through the opposite hole. Now tie your two loose ends in the front like a bow.

Cut the ends of the ribbon down to size with scissors. Cut your ribbon at an angle for a dramatic effect. Put a little no fray product on the end if you are using a satin ribbon that tends to fray.

Place your photo name card on the picture stand. You can stand the entire project on the dinner plate or directly behind the plate. Your Wedding Reception guests can fin their seats using the photos!
