While visiting my sister on vacation, she made me this absolutely delicious dish. Part of the reason she told me she loved to make it was because it was so easy yet everyone loved it. If you like crispy flavorful chicken, you will love this recipe for Panko Crusted Baked Chicken with Parmesan and Garlic. Once you pop it in the oven, you can forget about it until the buzzer beeps…perfect for our busy schedules! Here is to another recipe dedicated to my sis Melissa. I can only hope one day I will be as good of a chef as you!

Panko Crusted Baked Chicken with Parmesan and Garlic
Ingredients

6 Chicken Breasts

1 Cup of Milk

1 Egg

2 Cups of Panko Bread Crumbs

2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic

½ Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese

¼(season to taste, meaning put as much as you like)

Garlic Powder (season to taste)

Onion Powder (season to taste)

Preheat oven to 375. In a shallow bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Set aside. In another shallow bowl, lightly toss panko bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic. Set aside. In a baking dish large enough to line the chicken breasts in a single layer, pour the melted butter and coat bottom. Then take one chicken breast at a time and dip in the milk and egg mixture. Next place the chicken in the panko mixture and make sure completely coated. Place in baking dish. Once all the chicken is coated and placed in pan, lightly season tops with the salt, pepper, garlic and onion powders. Place in the oven for 40 minutes. Check to see if cooked throughout. If not, place back in the oven for 5 minute intervals until done. Do not overcook. Also if the tops are getting too brown, cover lightly with foil. If bottoms are getting too crispy, add a very small amount of water. But to be honest, the crispiness of the dish is part of what makes it so delicious. You cut through the coating to discover a moist piece of flavorful chicken. So good and so easy!!
