If you are interested in starting up a music hobby or are more serious musician needing some new gear, look no further than Northridge Music Center. Northridge Music offers a wide variety of instruments, an extensive library of sheet music, friendly expert advice, experienced music instructors, a recording studio, and much more. The steady clientele keeps the staff tuned in to customer demands, while the Teresi family manages the store regularly, maintaining a high level of friendly and professional customer service.

Northridge was purchased by lifelong musicians Laurie and Joe Teresi, who ran the store for years teaching music lessons onsite. Currently located off Greenback Lane near Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights, CA, Northridge has been owned and operated by the Teresi’s since 1972; now their son Chris Teresi manages the business.

When asked to describe his passion for the music business Teresi said, “I can’t think of where I would be if not at the store. If I didn’t have the store I would have to get a real job.” Teresi is also a lifelong musician that truly enjoys helping children learn a new instrument and experience his same excitement for music.

The store walls are filled with every sort of instrument you can think of and through Teresi’s collaborative business network they have access to much more. The Teresi’s continue a strong commitment to teaching and facilitating musical interests in the community. Teresi enjoys the nature of the music instrument business working with many inspired instrument producers such as Robert Godin.

The guitar department has an extensive line of guitars with acoustic, electric, and bass guitars offered. At first glance the walls are lined with Taylor, Fender, Richmond, Tom Anderson Vox, Gretsch and Eastman, Yamaha, Ovation and pro level products like Godin. Amps are a must have when playing and you can choose from brands like a Petaluma, CA, best Mesa/Boogie and also well known brands like Fender, Marshall, Line 6, and Vox.

Northridge even keeps in stock Latin drums and other exotic drums like Djembes and Doumbeks.

These instruments are offered for either sale or for rental. So if joining the school band is in your future, they have you covered. Once you get your new instrument, whether an electric guitar or maybe a trumpet, you just might need instruction. Choose from one of the many professional instructors of Northridge. You can also join one of the intensive workshops for singers and instrumentalists. Northridge at times even has ukulele concerts where clubs come to play as a group, or to an audience.

A recording studio is on site with trained personnel available to make your musical creations come to life. With the latest systems and software you can learn to turn out high quality recordings yourself. But, you can always just focus on the music and they can handle the studio work leaving you free for creative inspiration.

At times during intense jam sessions, your gear might breakdown. Skilled staff members are ready to help you get back into the swing of things in the repair department. You can even learn how to do some repairs yourself like replacing a drum head, or just have the technicians get your instrument tuned or repaired quickly and efficiently.
