Preliminary auditions for the New England Patriots Cheerleaders were held on March 8th, 2008. They were held at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Massachusetts. They started registration at 11:00am. Even if you have missed this years audition you can still participate in next years audition. They are usually held around the same time each year. It is important tot make sure you check the website in February so that you can submit your application in time.
In order to participate in the New England Patriots Cheerleader Tryouts you need to be over the age of 18 by the time of the preliminary auditions. When you register you will need to submit an application and pay the $20 registration fee. You will need to have a background in dance and a copy of your resume when you attend the auditions. You will also need to be in top shape to perform. For they audition they usually want you to do at least two dance combinations just to make it past the preliminary phase. They will only choose 75 to go on to the final round. They will also conduct a personal interview for those who make it to the final round. Since they come out with a swimsuit calendar each year they will also require you to take part in a swimsuit category for the final round. These tryouts require a lot of hard work, dedication, and team effort. You will need to be able to get along well with others, attend all rehearsals, games and various events that are schedule for the cheerleaders. Even though this is considered part time job you will stay pretty busy for most of the year even before the season begins. The New England Patriot tryouts will definitely put you to your physical limits. They do also have an optional audition workshop that they hold each year several weeks before the actual preliminary audition. This is a great opportunity to get some tips and see what the audition process is going to be like. There is a fee charged for this optional workout of $100 per person. They require that you bring a check with you to the audition workshop. You will also need to brink lunch, a water bottle an and pen and notebook. Along with the proper workout attire.
By taking the time to prepare properly and get yourself into great shape and working on your routine you should have no problem with the audition. One final tip is to not let your nerves get the best of you. Some have a tendency to suddenly freeze up when they get to the audition. If you have the necessary confidence in your abilities, which comes with months of practice than you should have no problems.
