The 2008 Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader Tryouts

Have you always dreamed of being a cheerleader? If you live in Minnesota, you are in luck! The final phase of the Minnesota Vikings cheerleader tryouts is being on April 29, 2008 at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota at 6:30 p.m.

Requirements
In order to get to the final round of the Minnesota Vikings cheerleader tryouts, candidates have to meet specific requirements. In order to audition, you must have been 18 years old by March 31, 2008, you must have graduated from high school or have your G.E.D., and you must either live in Minneapolis or be willing to relocate to the Minneapolis area. In addition, you must be able to attend each and every rehearsal, show proof of your age, health insurance, and your high school graduation status, and complete an application. These applications are not available online and are only available at the audition.

Tryout Workshops
Two series of the Minnesota Vikings cheerleader tryouts “Tryout Workshop” auditions were held on March 29, 2008 at Winter Park in Eden Prairie, and each covered different areas of audition preparation tips, tricks and techniques. These sessions were both optional and cost $35 per session, but everyone who attended felt they were of great help. The first session covered those “beauty” items, such as hair styling, make-up application, tips on appropriate tryout attire, resume’ preparation, tips about the team, and interview preparations. The second session covered more technical details, such as pom placement, flexibility and choreography.

Open Auditions and Training Camp
Open Auditions for the Minnesota Vikings cheerleader tryouts were held on April 5, 2008 at Winter Park in Eden Prairie at 9:00 a.m. The girls at Open Auditions were in for a long day! Those chosen at the Open Auditions for Training Camp had to come back on April 6 or 7 for an interview. Training camp was held at Winter Park on April 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 24 and 28 from 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m and culminated in an NFL draft party on April 26th. The candidate at the Mall of America tryouts have been working hard preparing for the event and have no idea if they will be on the final roster.
