Natural Remedies for Age Spots

Age Spots, Liver Spots, Sun Spots

One of the signs of growing old is age spots. Age spots are harmless, yellow or brown flat discolorations of the skin that occur on the neck, face and the back of the hands. They are in no way harmful, but to many people they are an annoyance because they reveal a person’s age.

Usually age spots are a result of sun damage due to sun exposure for many years. Sometimes age spots can cause impaired liver function and/or nutritional deficiencies. This occurs as we age because our metabolism changes and the liver become overwhelmed with toxins. The liver becomes overwhelmed with the toxins and then age spots or liver spots begin to form. Lack of antioxidants and oxidation within the body can plan a role in the formation of age spots.
