Miracle Skin Cure: Coconut Oil

Virgin Coconut Oil

While traveling in Southeast Asia, I discovered a cure for a skin rash that I often got here in the US. Every summer and fall I would get a series of rashes on my back and legs, and most doctors just dismissed it as an allergy or a detergent rash. It was, in fact, a type of fungal infection in the skin, brought about by sweating. I lived with this for many years, a month at a time, as it would come and go. Finally, I found a cure in the hot tropics of Southeast Asia: Coconut Oil.

I applied 100% Pure virgin coconut oil to my skin, and within 3 days the rash was gone. On the advice of local pharmacists, I also dank 2 teaspoons of the oil every day for a week. Not only did the rash go away, it has never returned. To make sure of this, I continue to apply coconut oil to my skin at the start of any hot season, or if I am sweating a lot. The rash has stayed away.

Why? Because Coconut Oil is a natural fungicide. It kills all types of fungi. It also cures yeast infestions. Taken internally, it will clear your gut of the fungus growing there, and leave the good bacteria untouched. Topically placed on your skin, it cleans the pores of all fungi and promotes good skin hydration. It also leaves a nice smooth feel to the skin, and can reduce acne on your back and non-facial areas of the body.

So why don’t we use it every day? Pure economics is the reason coconut oil is not used in the US. It is far more expensive than other oils. In Southeast Asia it is readily available and very inexpensive, so it has become a staple used in cooking and as a lotion for skin. Here in the US and in Europe, it is not heavily promoted, because it costs too much. Those with severe rashes might disagree: $20 to cure a bad rash? Money well spent.

There is a deeper reason for our fear of the miracle oil. In the 1980s the ASA (American Soybean Assn) and the Corn Products Company (CPC Intl) lobbied to have coconut oil removed from movie theaters. They claimed that it raised cholesterol levels in the body. There was no real evidence of it’s raising cholesterol, but it was harming the wallets of local corn farmers. Later they admitted to having no real test results to prove their case. In fact, 100% Pure Virgin Coconut Oil contains capric and lauric acid, which help to combat fungi, yeast, and some viruses. It cleans the body and stimulates anti-microbial actions in your system. The vegetable producers would rather you buy vegetable oil, but don’t be fooled by them. Like any large lobby group, their profit agenda is all they care about. Your body is priceless, so do some research and spend the extra few bucks to get the right oil.

Also, make sure it is virgin and pure coconut oil. This is free of toxins and can be taken internally, as well. I found that a generous application 3 times daily for 4 days cured my rash. Also, 4 days of 2 teaspoons internally helped to cleanse my body. I cannot comment on recent arguments that this oil also helps to cure viruses and colds, but I can attest to its skin healing properties. My skin has been happy for a couple of years now, and I plan to continue the coconut oil treatment on into the future.

Your doctor won’t recommend this, because it isn’t an expensive drug. He won’t recommend an orange or guava for your cold, either… but they do help. The rainforest has plenty of cures for your body, so don’t dismiss them. Coconut oil saved me.
