This product is my very favorite. It was introduced to me over 20 me years ago by my sister-in-law who is a hair stylist. She permed my hair, and sprayed this on while it was damp and dried it. It was heaven. I also was able to style my curls with my hands.
With Permed Hair:
I use to wash my hair and towel dry, then I spray Matrix Essentials Perm Fresh Leave-In Treatment all over my hair, work it in good with my hands, and then brush through it through the length of my hair, that the brush just glided through my hair. No more “OUCH”, or having to take my fingers and work through a tangle, and it leaves my hair baby soft with a light not over powering fragrance (I can not describe how it smells, except that it is a pleasant spell, not a flowery or fruity one). To this day I still stop at my salon when I am out my Perm Fresh and pick up another bottle.
The description on the bottle says the Perm Fresh Leave-In Treatment revives and and maintains curl springiness and elasticity through out the life of your perm. It is oil free, with low PH formula. Recommended for Permed or Natural Curly Hair, it gives you a natural look and shine, and softness to your hair. It helps eliminate those frizzies. I say it makes brushing not a chore, but actually enjoyable.. Once your hair is dried you can either leave your hair with that curly look or style them with your fingers, curling iron or rollers. When I first purchased Perm Fresh, it was recommended to use before styling so that my hair would be protected from hair drying or curling irons, and I was told that working my fingers through the curls and using my hands is an easy way of styling my hair. It also gave me a light bouncy hair style. If I wanted for going out, I would just add a little hairspray.
Later in the day if you want to refreshen your look, you just lightly spray again and restyle. (I make mine last longer cause I use a water bottle, and spray over the hair, it actually reactivates the perm fresh that way too). It actually keeps my hair tangle free all day, even if it is windy out.
Caution: Avoid spraying in eyes, if contact with the eyes, flush with water immediately.

My perm fresh comes in a white (almost at times looks like it has a silver tint) spray bottle that holds 13.5 fluid ounces. And has a cap that goes over the spray nozzle for ease of traveling. The cost runs between $12-$16.00. All I know is it lasts forever. So to me the $12 to $16.00, is worth it when I have to purchase another bottle. I get my monies worth and I still have hair.

My own recommendation: If you don’t like combing through tangled hair, and you don’t want the heavy feeling of conditioners, the Use Matrix Essentials Perm Fresh Leave In Treatment. For baby soft tangle free hair.
