Manhattan Portage DJ Shoulder Bag – a Review

Shoulder Bag

Easily accessible, lightweight, durable and customizable. These are just a few words that I would use to describe Manhattan Portage’s Medium DJ Shoulder Bag.

For a little over a year, I’ve been lugging around a bulky, oversized bag to carry my tools for work and a few personal belongings. When I put it in my car, it takes up as much space as a small child would and it has more pockets and zippers than a goth kid’s new pair of pants. Which is a royal pain when you’re looking for something, like a screwdriver, and can’t remember which pocket you put it in. Sometimes it takes up to 15 minutes just to find something.

Let’s just say that I was looking for a new bag ever since someone thought that I was moving out of my house when they noticed my bag in the back of the car. I was looking for something that was slim, not bulky, had very few compartments in which to lose my belongings and that wasn’t a pain to carry. After a while of searching on the internet, I found such a bag.

On Manhattan Portage’s website they have several bags of several sizes made for several purposes. My choice was their Medium DJ Bag. It’s not too big and it’s not too small, as Goldilocks would say, “It’s just right.” After choosing that bag, it took an hour of consideration as to what color I wanted and what accessories, if any, that I thought necessary to choose. I chose the camouflage bag and decided not to go with any accessories. Which I wish I would have so I might just order them sooner or later. These would be the cell phone holder and the shoulder pad.

Ever since I received my bag I haven’t been without it. Some people at work call it my “man purse”. I keep everything in there, from books to tools and I also use it to put my purchases in at stores instead of using eco-unfriendly plastic bags that they are so eager to give to you. Let me just say that with all of the plastic bags in the kitchen closet, I could supply a grocery store for at least a month.

So if you’re looking for something to carry your belongings in without it being a pain to carry and as well as an eye sore, check out Manhattan Portage’s website at http://www.manhattanportage.com.
