This would be the perfect gift idea for your mom, plus she would really appreciate the idea that you made it especially for her. Follow these steps to make a candy bar cake for you mom.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

First you will need a platter to put the cake on. This simply need to be a flat, round, piece of plastic or something similar that you can set the cake on. Next, you will need some white ribbon that is about 1/2 to an inch wide. You will also need some glue. You will need some type of bow to put on the top of the cake when it is done.

Finally, you will need all of mom’s favorite kinds of mini candy bars. If she only likes two or three kinds, then you can just use those. Include all of her favorites, make sure they are the mini candy bars.

MAKE THE CANDY BAR CAKE:

To start making the candy bar cake, first start standing the mini candy bars on their ends, like they are standing up on the platter. You may need to glue them to get them to stand up next to one another. You can start with the bottom layer in the center of the platter and start building the cake out with the candy bars, almost to the edge of the platter. Once you have the bottom layer finished, tie a long piece of ribbon all the way around the candy bars and tie it into a pretty bow in the front.

Next, make a second layer of candy bars in the same manner. Stand them on their ends on top of the first layer, starting in the middle and gluing them together if needed. Build them out until they are about an inch from the edge of the first layer of candy bars. Once this layer is done, tie a ribbon around them and tie a bow on the same side as you did the bottom bow. Now the cake is done and you simply need to place your big bow on top of the second layer to finish the cake.
