Luvs Vs Pampers Baby Dry Diapers

Best Value Diapers, Luvs, Pampers

If you are a parent of a infant or a small toddler, you are used to changing diapers a lot of diapers. Babies go through so many diapers that you seem to become a quick expert on diapers. If you are a purchaser of disposable diapers you spend a lot of time and money on diapers. Because you change so many of them, you begin to realize which brands are good and which brands are not as good. Each store usually carries a wide variety of diapers including such brand names as Luvs, Huggies, Pampers, and usually a store brand. The two diapers that I would like to compare are Luvs disposable diapers and Pampers Baby Dry.

The reason I wanted to compare Pampers against Luvs diapers is because they are both well known national brands, but they are usually priced significantly different. Unless Pampers disposable diapers are on sale, they are usually more expensive than Luvs. Luvs claims to have the same, if not better, quality diaper compared to the other national brands. It is time to put these diapers to the test.

Luvs offers the Luvs Ultra Leakguard Guarantee on all of their diapers. Luvs state that if you are not satisfied with the leakage protection provided by the diaper, you can get your money back. According to Luvs.com one of the features of Luvs diapers is that it has a blue leakguard core that is an absorbent core that is very noticeable. Luvs diapers also have cloth-like fasteners that are great because they can be used numerous times and still stick. Luvs diapers also have a great scent and are soft like cotton. The diapers also feature a contour shape that helps the baby feel comfortable when moving around in the diaper. Luvs diapers also offer stretchy leg cuffs that also help your baby move comfortably with less chaffing. This is important because you want your baby to not only have great leakage protection, but be comfortable as well. Luvs are also usually a lot less expensive than Pampers.

Pampers Baby Dry diapers are probably one of the most popular brand of diaper on the market. Pampers have a great reputation of quality, but are usually the most expensive diaper. Pampers Baby Dry are themed with Sesame Street Characters including Elmo, Big Bird, and Grover. According to US.Pampers.com, a Pampers Baby Dry diaper “flexes to fit for fewer leaks.” Pampers Baby Dry are equipped with Caterpillar-Flex to expand and contract to the movement of your baby. It is said that a babies stomach can shrink up to an inch at night. The Pampers have Caterpillar-Flex so the diaper will shrink at night to help prevent the baby from having a leak during the middle of the night. As a parent, I value the little sleep I get. I will gladly buy anything that will help keep my baby from waking up at night.

Both Pampers and Luvs claim that their diapers are made to offer maximum leakage protection, but also offer a diaper that is comfortable for active baby. I have tried both brands and I feel that both diapers are very comfortable for your baby. Each brand of diaper is made of a soft material and stretches to meet the babies needs. I would have to give a slight edge to Pampers Baby Dry because of the Caterpillar-Flex. It is not just a gimmick, it really works.

The other major concern with a diaper is the leakage protection. With my experience, both diapers have great leakage protection. The only problem with Luvs is that that the leakage protection does not last as long as the leakage protection with Pampers. Pampers is also a better diaper for your child at night. I have had my child wake up in the middle of the night because of leakage with the Luvs. I would have to give the edge in leak protection to Pampers.

Overall Pampers Baby Dry may be more expensive than Luvs, the quality more than makes up for the increase in price. My advice is to stock up on Pampers when they go on sale.
