Libby’s Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix really is easy to prepare. All you have to do is mix Libby’s Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix with some eggs and evaporated milk. Then just pour the mix into an unbaked pie shell and bake. I was extremely pleased with how easy Libby’s Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix was to prepare. That was one of the best parts about this product.

Thanksgiving Day came and my boyfriend and I enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner complete with all the trimmings. I really do love to cook a large meal on Thanksgiving, even though it’s just me and my boyfriend. When we got to the end of the meal, we couldn’t wait to try the pumpkin pie. We each got a slice and topped them off with Cool Whip. We curled up on the couch and took a bite of what looked like the perfect pieces of pumpkin pie. I had to resist the urge to spit out the bite I had just taken. It was so horrible. At that moment, I knew I should have bought a Mrs. Smith’s Pumpkin Pie instead.

The spices in Libby’s Easy Pumpkin Pie mix are overbearing. You hardly taste the pumpkin at all. Instead your tongue is assaulted by cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. All of these spices are necessary for a delicious pumpkin pie, but there was simply too many in Libby’s Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix. My tongue felt like it was burning, as if I had taken a bite out of a large jalapeno.

Libby’s Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix is affordable, costing around $2.50. To me, I would rather buy a Mrs. Smith’s Pumpkin Pie instead, which happens to cost around the same amount during the Thanksgiving sales.

I really wish I could give this product a negative rating. Instead, I will have to give Libby’s Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix 1 star. I do love the fact that this product was easy to prepare, but the spices completely ruined this product, not to mention the end of my Thanksgiving dinner. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If you want to make a homemade pie, just buy pumpkin puree instead and then add your own spices.
