Kodak EASYSHARE Z760 Digital Camera

Kodak Easy Share

The Kodak EASYSHARE Z760 Digital Camera is my very first digital camera. I received a CD for the Kodak Easy Share Software, which includes the Kodak program to view and edit your pictures. A users guide, step by step instructions on how to put your charge together. The instruction manual is fairly easy to understand and follow, which makes using my Digital Camera much easier to use.

Before I use anything whether it be a camera/digital, computer, scanner, or some other electronics I like to read through the instruction manual and familiarize myself with my new product and play with it a bit until I have the feel of it. With My Kodak Digital Camera, all I had to do is check out where everything was, insert my memory card, and start taking pictures.

I like the feel of my camera, if you are just sitting and holding the camera in your hands you almost forget it is there because it is so light. I have small hands and I find my camera is so easy to handle, and fits nicely. The only problem I have is when turning my camera on, it has a push in button between to metal pieces that stand up. It is hard to push that button in and move the switch at the same time. I have arthritis, so sometimes it is difficult for me. But, when I purchased my digital camera, I did not have the arthritis so there was no problem. I do like the toggle switch for viewing pictures, it makes for easy viewing and fast as well as I can go forward or back anytime I would like to. I also like the fact that if I don’t like a picture as I am taking them, I can delete it. I usually don’t. But, every once in awhile it comes in handy.

The first time I took pictures, I had 175 pictures to view on my memory card, and that didn’t count what was on the digital camera. That was a nice added feature, when the memory card was filled, the pictures just automatically saved to my digital camera’s memory. I guess I got a bit carried away the first time. It is so easy to get carried away, as you don’t have to advance your next frame, it automatically does it for you. And you don’t have to wait for long lags in between pictures.

The viewing window has a frame in it for lining up your picture, I am able to view, delete, or select (options from the menu) my pictures individually, save them in an album on my digital camera or view as a slide show before editing or cropping them. The transfer button instantly uploads pictures instantly Adobe Photo Shop for emailing, viewing, cropping, or printing.

I am not a fan of the Adobe Photo Shop, it is ok for viewing, cropping, or taking the red eye out. But, that is about it. I usually like to start up my scanner, and open my files through my Lexmark 1185X and then view and crop. I am able to save the individual pictures under there own title. It is much easier when I want to pull just one picture up then having to pull up all the pictures I took for that day.

My Kodak EasyShare Z760 Digital Camera is lightweight and can be slip it into a pocket or purse(as it comes with no carrying case). My pictures turn out bright and clear. There also is a recharging dock that my digital comes in. It is slim line, and has lights that light up lime green when my digital is charging. It is about 6 inches long by 3 or 3 1/2 inches wide by about 3/4 inch high. It does not take up much space plus if I am traveling all I have to do is put my camera and the dock right in my purse along with the cord.

I have taken pictures from a distance (what I especially like is the picture I am seeing on the view finder is the picture that I get when I take the picture, and can take and crop that picture so it looks as if I took it up close. I love to do that with my grandson, where I can catch a silly grin, or one of his famous smiles before he knows I have the camera out. Then all I do is connect my camera to my computer with the USB cable and the photo shop will ding and let you know it is connected, then transfer the pictures from the digital to my computer, where I am able to edit, crop, eliminate red eye, sharpen the image, or color, and save my edited copy. The original picture is left on touched.

This has come in handy for trips, snow storms, ice storms (where the ice is hanging from the trees branches and stems), to take and document all of our farm equipment and machinery as well as the buildings for insurance purposes. As well as documenting our wedding rings, and other good jewelry I have. Once I have all of my pictures taken I transfer them to my computer and then crop them if needed, and when done I copy them to CD. Then the Cd’s are put in our safe(fire proof) for safe keeping.

I am able to crop my pictures (and cut out what I did not want in my picture)
I am able to store my pictures in albums(which I name), or I can transport them to my Adobe Photo Shop 2.0 Starter Edition
Comes with the KODAK EASYSHARE Camera Dock, that can recharge my battery for the camera in less than 4 hours.

Note:
I took pictures of my Grandson playing basketball and shooting baskets. Mind you he is only 21 months old and makes the baskets. Well anyways I tried to get him holding the ball in a shooting position, or as the ball was going in the hoop. Well this is the first time I noticed the lag, because the picture I was seeing was not the picture I was getting. So I do have to say it is not real good for motion pictures.
