Best Priced Printer: Kodak EasyShare All-In-One Printer 5100 or 5300

All in One Printers, Easyshare, Kodak Easyshare, Photo Printers

The Kodak EasyShare All-in-One Printer is an innovative product from Kodak’s industry experts and technological research and development team. Kodak’s EasyShare All-in-One printer was introduced as an affordable option for home printing; the number one sales point for this printer is 50% savings in ink. Affordable ink is appealing to consumers tired of filling and refilling expensive ink cartridges.

The Kodak EasyShare All-in-One Printer prints quality pictures with crisp, clear results. The printer costs less than most photo printers and other all-in-one printers. I paid $129.99 for the Kodak EasyShare 5100 All-in-One Printer. The low cost of replacement ink and Kodak quality printing meant I found a printer at a price I couldn’t pass up. Black ink refills are $9.99. Five color ink cartridges are only $14.99. It doesn’t require an additional photo cartridge to print photos.

If you haven’t invested in a memory card for your computer you can still use the Kodak EasyShare printer. It is USB compatible and comes with a USB cable. It is also blue-tooth compatible for use with cell phone photos and portable digital assistants.

You can get your printer for less than I paid if you purchase Kodak’s EasyShare All-in-One Printer 5100 online from Kodak. Right now they offer the EasyShare 5100 for $50 off. (This offer is good on any EasyShare printer from January 18-27 via Kodak.com.) For $20 more, you can upgrade to Kodak EasyShare 5300. The 5300 is the printer featured on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice Episode 3. I’m satisfied with the 5100, but if I were purchasing again, I would go ahead and buy the 5300.

Both models of the Kodak EasyShare All-in-One Printer print, copy, and scan. In my opinion, in addition to ink price, one of the greatest features of this printer is that prints dry in seconds. By the time I retrieve them from the printer they are dry to the touch. One of the reason’s I upgraded printers was because of smudges and faded letters. I wasted more ink and time doing and reprints.

One downside of the Kodak EasyShare All-in-One Printer 5100 is that it only prints 9 copies at a time. It is also not as fast as higher end photo printers. It takes almost 30 seconds for a photo to print. That isn’t a lot of time, but if you are in hurry 30 seconds seems like forever.

Document printing is fast enough for me at 30 pages per minute in black and 22 pages per minute in color. These printing times are for character filled documents. Shorter documents print faster, and are reflected in the company specifications. The printer handles 8 ½ x 11 paper and legal documents.

Kodak EasyShare 5300 can make up to 99 copies, and has the ability to copy front and back. There are also options for multiple size photo printing. The 5300 allows users to manipulate photo size output from one photo. If you do a lot of photo printing the 5300 will serve your needs better than the 5100. However, if you just need a high quality, low cost printer that will not break you to refill the ink, the 5100 is fine and saves you a few bucks.

Both the Kodak EasyShare All-in-One printer 5100 and 5300 print on plain paper, coated paper, photo paper, iron-on, transparency film, label media, greeting cards, and 17 to 24 lb plain paper. The paper trays can hold up to 100 pieces of plain paper. The output trays hold 50 sheets.

I have been very pleased with my Kodak EasyShare All-in-One Printer 5100. I feel confident recommending any 5000 series Kodak EasyShare All-in-One Printer for non-commercial use.
