If you like Just Dance for the Nintendo Wii and are craving more music and dance moves, you are in luck. Ubisoft, the creators of Just Dance, has recently announced that they will be releasing Just Dance 2 for the Nintendo Wii on October 12, 2010.

Just Dance 2 for Nintendo Wii will be similar to the original Just Dance game, but Just Dance 2 will have new improvements over last year’s version of the game.

Just Dance 2 will introduce brand new dance moves as well as over 40 new hit dance songs ranging from the classics to hits from today. The song list includes the following:

  • Wham! – “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”The game will also now present additional downloadable songs for purchase that can be accessed directly from the Just Dance 2 menu, a feature that was lacking in the original game.

One of the biggest improvements will be in the movement detection. The creators have worked on creating a balance between rewarding already experienced dancers as well as inexperienced dancers for their moves.

Just Dance 2 will also now have four new modes of play, which includes the following:

Duet Mode: This mode was created for more interaction between players. People will be able to role play and dance together.

Dance Battle Mode: This mode will let you create your own dance crew with up to eight players. This mode will reinforce team work and team spirit. The overall team result will depend on everyone’s individual scores. Everyone will need to dance for the entire Just Dance party and support their team in this mode.

Party Mode: This mode is for those who just simply want to get their groove on and dance. Just enter in how much non-stop music you would like, and dance the night away.

Just Sweat Mode: Many people used the original Just Dance to get fit so now a Just Sweat Meter has been added. This mode will measure the amount of effort put into the dancing and the capability to define daily or weekly objectives of each session.

I am not a huge video game enthusiast, but I really have enjoyed the times I have played Just Dance for Nintendo Wii. If Just Dance 2 is as fun as the original Just Dance, it is sure to be a hit.
