Zac Efron- His Beginning
Zachary David Alexander Efron was born on October 18, 1987 in San Luis Obispo, California. His father, David, is a engineer. His mother Starla is a homemaker. Zac Efron has a younger brother named Dylan.
An interesting fact about Zac Efron is, he started out having a typical middle-class upbringing. He was teased by his peers for having a gap between his teeth. And, he had to put up with being one of the short kids at school. Zac Efron is now either 5’8″ or 5’10”, depending on which source you go by.
Zac Efron attained high grades in school and was known as the class clown. (He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 2006. An interesting fact about Zac Efron is, he has been accepted at the University of Southern California. However, his movie career has made him place his education on hold for now.)

When he was just 11 years old, he got tired of playing baseball. From that time on, one thing led to another. Zac Efron’s parents signed him up for piano lessons. His teacher recognized his talent, and suggested that Zac Efron audition for the play, Gypsy. He continued to win more roles in additional plays such as Once Upon a Mattress, The Music Man, Peter Pan and Little Shop Of Horrors.
From there, Zac Efron’s drama teacher at school hooked him up with an agent. He played in several roles on television before he finally won a role in Summerland.
Zac Efron played the part of Link Larkin in the Hairspray movie in 2006.

He moved to his own apartment in 2007. Zac Efron’s a sports enthusiast who enjoys skiing, golf, surfing, rock climbing and snowboarding. He also juggles. Zac Efron’s a fan of the San Francisco Giants, and has an autographed baseball collection. He also has a comic book collection.
An interesting fact about Zac Efron is, he still plays the piano. He’s also learning the guitar. In his spare time he restores his Delorean and ’65 Mustang convertible.
