Presented by Hewlett Packard, and produced by Wild Tangent Orb, are many games offered by HP for youngsters. I have been investigating these games with some children that visit. These kids are four and six years old. Most of the games mentioned here are Rated E and suitable for everyone. These games came with a new HP Desktop which I purchased in 2007.
Each of these games require a token to play for what seems as long as you wish. Some tokens came with the pc, purchasing tokens is very reasonable or the games if enjoyed can be bought for very little. I purchased three games for about $18.00.
The following games are just a few of the many games included:
Phoenix Assault (E) Buckle up and fight alien ships. This game is fast paced arcade type with you controlling a ship dodging spaceships and attacking as many as possible.
Fate (E10) Fight monsters to fulfill quest. The E10 rating suggest a ten year old can play and enjoy this game I feel like to get the full experience one would need to read very well for a 10 yr old. The 6 yr old that visits was allowed to try the parents. He liked the game but of course became bored very quickly with so much information to try and learn.
Fate Undiscovered Realms (E10) more dungeons and several new monsters make this game more enjoyable to those that I saw play it.
Super Granny (E) Help Granny save her cats. Fun arcade game for everyone.
Adventure Quest not rated. One can have 5 characters to create and train in a world of lore. One of the largest single player Flash games, a huge world with thousands of monsters and hundreds of quest.
Blackhawk Striker E() Grab the stick and control the helicopter in this fast arcade game. One of the six year olds favorite games.
Insaniquarium (E) Feed your fish to make them grow to gain points and advance to the next level. An alien appears to kill your fish unless you get him first.
And designed for girls is Passport To Perfume™ takes you around the world as Sophia, a young adventure-seeker and perfume maker. You’ll manage a perfume shop, create new scents and oversee inventory.”

Although most of these games have some violence in them I feel they are suitable for the ratings of each game. Being crippled all through my life I have played and enjoyed games. From board and card games to video games like Space Invaders, Wolfenstien and Doom I have played games for 50 years. In playing games I developed an opinion which differs greatly from so called experts on TV an other media. Their opinion is that violence in games lead kids to violent acts. Every time a kid or teenager does some horrific act it is brought to attention that the child played video games. I have known hundreds of kids and played games with many of them. I have not seen the violence transfer from video games, TV shows or movies. It is my belief that those kids that do violence did so because of other factors. With the experts’ reasoning games like Operation would have kids cutting each other up. And games with millions of players would create millions of murders. I don’t see it happening that way.
