How to Teach Without a Degree

Don’t let the lack of money stop you from what you want to do. Sometimes, you may be discouraged from teaching choosing education as a major, or you may have a degree and can find no employment after graduation. Excluding the medical field and law, you can teach most anything without a degree.

Career Training Institutions

Whatever you have the most knowledge in, you can teach it. Look for schools of training in your area that offer classes like yoga, dance, computer classes, basket weaving or G.E.D. There is a very good chance that you too could teach classes there. There are two places in the Central New York area that allow you to do this. OCM Boces, and Onondaga Community College Excell Community Education.

To teach classes in OCM Boces, all you have to do is send them your name, address, phone number and a brief description of your idea for a class and send it to:

If they approve, you are then a teacher!

Teaching Online

Perhaps you’d rather be a teacher online and not have to face your perspective students. Well at www.universalclass.com. You can share your expertise with students all around the world and get paid. All you have to do is sign up to become an elite online instructor. Create a course, and once it is approved you will be on the main page of their website, and course catalog. You can charge what you want for your class. You will make 60% of anything you earn. For example, if you charge $10.00 for a class, you will make $6.00 for every student that takes the class. When there is $100 in your account, you can ask for a check which you’ll get at the end of the month.

Studio
If you are financially able, you can open a small studio and teach in your home, or if you prefer, rent out a space for your potential students.

The Internet

If you’d rather not have strangers in your home,or spend money renting out a studio, you can always teach online for free. Yes, free! If you already have a computer, you can get free Internet access with Juno. The access is limited, but if you want to make money before you spend it, you can do that.

Find a free website or blog, where you can put up your lessons free of charge. How do you earn? You can find affiliate programs that relate to what you want to teach and put it on your website or blog. Another source of revenue is to become an Adsense publisher, and also add Clickbank to your website.

There are many publishers who make 5 to 6 figures a month with Google’s Adsense program. If you teach something that many people would want to learn, you will have no problem earning in this way.

You can also set up an auto responder program so people can receive lessons in their email. Again, to earn, you would always include a link to your particular affiliate program. All you need to do is set up a web page with an opt-in page, and fill your auto responder with all the lessons.

If you do not want to give away your lessons for free, you can have a membership website where you can charge people for the information. You can use a free payment processor like Paypal to receive your fee.

Pricing

If you are unsure what to charge, look for competitors who are teaching what you want to teach and then charge a little less than what they do so that you can turn all the business your way. If the conformists won’t let you in, never despair, just open another door and walk straight ahead.
