How to Plan a Backyard Wedding

Backyard Wedding

Backyard weddings are becoming very popular. It will take time to plan your wedding and you must allow for the weather and unexpected surprises like additional guests but it can be done. The first decision to be made is how many people will be attending. When you sit down to write out the guest list make certain that you’ve included everyone from both sides that you truly want to be at your event. Family, extended family, friends and neighbors.

Have a plan in case the weather is not picture perfect. Tents can be rented and they will come in very handy if it should rain. Tents can be rented days in advance to make sure everything is ready for the big day. Porta potties can be rented and placed in out of the way places for guests. They are usually delivered a few days before the event.

If you want special flowers it’s best to order them from a florist but that will cost more money but If you want to do it the inexpensive way just plant some flowers around your yard.

Plan your dinner and appetizers depending on your budget. If your budget is small chicken would be fine but if you have a larger budget you may consider prime rib. It just depends on your tastes and what you can afford. The cake will cost more if it is ordered from a bakery. To save money you can check around for someone who is known for making delicious cakes at home. I’ve had wedding cakes from bakeries and ones that have been made at home and they have both been delicious. It just depends on how much money you want to spend. Some families have decided not to serve alcoholic drinks at their weddings and that will save a large amount of money because alcohol is very expensive. If you do decide to have alcohol at your event I would suggest shopping around for the best prices. If alcohol is served you will need to have security for your special event. This is a good policy because you do not want your wedding ruined. It is your day and you want everything to go smoothly.

For music you can hire a band or a dejay. They are both nice and I have attended weddings with bands and dejays and they are comparable.

For your wedding dress if you buy one off the rack you will save a considerable amount of money. The same goes for your bridesmaids. The groom and the groomsmen will rent their tuxes so you can check around for the best price in town.

If you belong to a church they can perform the wedding ceremony but if not your town mayor can officiate at your ceremony. The price will be around $200 which is a very fair price.

Remember to plan everything out step by step and do your comparison shopping so that you save as much as you possibly can.
