If you didn’t know already, Associated Content is a great way to make a few extra dollars here and there and it is completely free to join. It is especially great if you like writing, giving your opinion or reviewing things. It is great for getting the creative juices flowing and even if you have never written before, this is a great place to start. There are a few ways to earn money through Associated Content. First, there are upfront payments. This form of payment is given when an article is submitted and approved for publication by Associated Content. These payments can range from a dollar to several dollars depending on the content of the article and whether or not it is unique. The second way in which to make money through Associated Content is through Performance Payments. These are payments made depending on the number of views an article gets. If your article is rejected by Associated Content for upfront payments, you may be able to resubmit the content under performance payments only. Performance payments are made to accepted articles as well and run about $1.50 per 1000 views. The more content written, the more money it is possible to make. Associated Content is a fun and creative way to make money.

If you have a Master’s Degree and are currently at home or want to make a few extra dollars in your spare time, BrainMass.com is a great way to do so. BrainMass is an online tutoring site that allows those with Master’s Degrees to help high school and college level students with papers, problems and essays. You must register with the website and submit proof of the Master’s Degree held, but once accepted by the BrainMass administration, the earning potential is practically limitless. There are several subjects one can become an “expert” in depending on the educational background. Subjects range from Education to English and Math to Statistics and a slew of topics in between. A tutor may sign up for one or more subjects to “tutor”. An e-mail system is set up to allow the tutor to know when a problem has been posted. It is up to the tutor to determine whether or not to take the assignment. The way BrainMass works is students pay a set amount for credits. they post their problem and assign a credit amount (example: proof read an essay 4 credits). Each credit is worth about $3.79 and credits can range from 1 to 25 or more depending on what is asked and the work involved.
As a tutor, you may only “help’ a student with the work needed. Writing papers and completely answering questions for students is strictly forbidden. Once a tutor has “banked” $50 or more in their account, a payment via Paypal or direct deposit is made.
A second way to make money through BrainMass is through Library submissions. In addition to tutoring help for students, BrainMass houses a library of questions and answers made as submissions by previous students. In fact, each “problem” answered eventually becomes a library solution (except essays), which in turn will make more money. Each library solution is paid for by a student and part of the payment goes to the tutor. BrainMass is a great way to keep the mind sharp and help people at the same time.
Amazon Turk
Amazon Turk is another way to make a little money here and there. A “turker” must be registered through Amazon.com in order to do turk jobs. However, an Amazon account is free and like the other options listed, Amazon Turk is a free service. A list of “jobs” are available in varying denominations. Some require forms to be filled out, others require surveys to be taken and others require articles to be written or pictures to be taken. The turker takes whatever jobs they want. If they take a job and then decide they do not want to follow through they may return the hit. Hits can range from $.01 to several dollars. Once hits are completed and accepted, the money gets put into an Amazon account which can be used like a giftcard at Amazon.com. There is no limit to the number of “jobs” one can take throughout the day and the income can be limitless.
Surveys
There are only a few survey sites I care to mention. The first being e-Rewards. e-Rewards is a site that exchanges survey time for money towards gift cards and gifts. There are several types of gifts available from magazine subscriptions to travel vouchers. The surveys are fairly easy and not very time consuming. Each survey completed is worth a set amount of money. However, if one does not qualify for the complete survey a small amount of cash is still deposited into your e-Rewards bank. Once you have reached a certain monetary level you may exchange the “cash” for rewards. This site is completely free and the opportunities plentiful.
The second survey site is Lightspeed Panel. This survey sight allows you not only to accumulate points for cash, but for other items as well. There are plenty of opportunities to earn with this site as e-mails alerting you to surveys come quite frequently throughout the day. Whether or not you qualify for a survey, you will be entered into a drawing for $5000. Points rewards vary and many start at only 100 points. Surveys can range from 50 points to several thousand.
