There are many gifts that you can give someone special in your life. You can purchase many gifts at stores, but sometimes you might want to give something more personal. A gift basket is one great gift that you can make yourself and give to the people you love. You can make all sorts of gift baskets that fit a family’s style. One of these that is easy to make is a movie lover’s gift basket.
First of all you will need a fairly big basket. You can purchase them at many stores. I always buy them at my local Dollar Tree because they are nice baskets for $1! You can’t beat that. They also have a popcorn bucket that you could use. You will need to purchase a gift card from a movie rental store that is close to the gift receiver’s home. You can do an online search for the town they live in and find what they have close to them. Many gift certificates can be purchased online or in a chain store. You can get it for any amount that you choose, but you should at least make sure that there is enough on the card to cover one rental. There are a few more items that you need to buy too. You will need to pick up some candy for the basket. You can buy a few different kinds. I suggest Whoppers, Chocolate Covered Raisins, and Junior Mints. A decent size box of each can be purchased at Wal-Mart. You can also get smaller packages at Dollar Tree. You will also need to buy some popcorn. I suggest buying microwave popcorn because you can put a few packs of it in the basket.
You will then need to assemble the basket. It is very easy to do. First you will take your basket and line it with either basket filler or tissue paper. You can then start placing the items in the basket. You will want to place the taller items in the back and go all the way to the shorter items. After you have placed all the items, you can then wrap the basket with cellophane or shrink wrap. Tie a nice bow around the top of the wrap. You now have a nice easy gift to give to whomever you please.
Gift baskets are excellent gifts for anyone. You can easily make them to show someone you care. You can purchase a variety of items to put in them. Just be creative and design it to fit the person you are making it for. This is the perfect gift for a movie lover!
