They also make other kinds of heartburn relief, but you will have to try them out for yourself to see which one has the best effects on you. Perhaps Rolaids doesn’t relieve the heartburn as quickly as something else or vice versa. Write everything down and keep track of the foods, medications and effects.

There are also natural methods of reliving the heartburn such as neutralizing the foods that you eat. If you have orange juice you may want to drink a glass of milk afterwards. Try mixing different types of food and see what the results are, also make sure to write down which foods you eat with what. You can also try the baking soda technique. You mix a little bit of baking soda in with a glass of water and drink the water. With most people it helps to relieve the heartburn quickly but you will need to try it to find out for yourself.

Most people do not deal with heartburn on a regular basis but only when they eat specific foods which are too much for their stomachs to handle. Having heartburn does not mean you have to stop eating the foods that you love, you just need to figure out how to handle the heartburn and be prepared for it.
