We frequently go to Hog Wild Pit BBQ on south 47th Street in Wichita, Kansas, to get BBQ ribs, stuffed baked potatoes, baked beans, and on occasion, hot links. We have found Hog Wild Pit BBQ to be one of the best barbeque places in Wichita. We have tried a few other places, but most don’t stand up to the flavor and prices of Hog Wild.
We easily spend $30 to $35 on food to take home when we want barbeque. The cost will be a bit higher when taxes are added to the total. Some may think that’s a lot to feed a family.
Compared to $40 (before taxes) at Rib Crib in Derby, Kansas. At Rib Crib for 3/4 pound of meat, 4 side dishes, bread, and pickles, onions and peppers is more expensive since we can’t get a full slab of ribs.
Whole Slab of Ribs at Hog Wild Pit BBQ in Wichita, Kansas
Hog Wild Pit BBQ’s ribs are slow cooked in a smoker outside the building. They slather on some of their own BBQ sauce at the end of the smoking process.
They also add more BBQ sauce inside before serving. Then we get extra BBQ sauce to add to our ribs. They give us regular and hot BBQ sauce.
The ribs fall of the bones. A whole slab of ribs are $16.99. The slab of ribs feeds us for two meals.
Stuffed Baked Potatoes at Hog Wild Pit BBQ in Wichita, Kansas
When we get the stuffed baked potatoes, we get the regular potato. The baked potatoes are the size of a small platter in restaurants or roughly the size of a kids size 5 shoe.
The regular stuffed baked potato comes topped with butter, cheddar cheese (which is piled high on the potato), sour cream, chives, and bacon bits. The regular topped baked potatoes are $4.29.
Our daughter will eat the baked potato and a rib because the potato can be eaten as a meal by itself. My husband and I will split the baked potato. The baked potatoes feeds us for one meal.
They also have a meat topped baked potato that includes their smoked meats for $5.49. We haven’t tried those yet.
Baked Beans at Hog Wild Pit BBQ in Wichita, Kansas
We get the pint of baked beans with our barbeque ribs and baked potatoes. They flavor the baked beans with their BBQ sauce. The pint of baked beans are $3.19. The baked beans will feed us for two meals.
Hot Links at Hog Wild Pit BBQ in Wichita, Kansas
My husband likes hot links and sometimes wants some to go with his barbeque dinner. We get a half pound of the hot links. The hot links come sliced rather than whole. The half pound of hot links cost $5.59. Those will feed my husband for two meals.

We have eaten in at Hog Wild Pit BBQ in Wichita, Kansas, a few times. We have tried their dinners with one meat and sides. Their dinners are as tasty as the items we get to take home.
One dinner with two sides and Texas toast cost $6.99. We have gotten their beef brisket, pulled chicken, and hot link dinners when eating in at Hog Wild. Like any other restaurant drinks are extra for $1.49 for a regular or $1.69 for a large.
