B & M Baked Beans Offer Several Delicious Varieties: Consumer Product Review

Baked Beans, Pork and Beans

Baked beans have been one of my favorite side dishes ever since I was a child. Without a doubt, the brand of canned baked beans that I prefer over all others, is B & M (R) Baked Beans. Although I have tried many other brands, only B & M (R) consistently delivers a truly delicious, one- of- a- kind taste and texture that always satisfies. Known for being slow- cooked in brick ovens, these baked beans contain a truly unique flavor that is derived from a ceturies- old recipe. B & M (R) Original Baked Beans are made from small pea beans with pork and a sauce that contains molasses, corn syrup, salt, dried onion and garlic, sugar, spice and natural flavors, including allspice, cinnamon and mustard. The combined ingredients create a sauce that is deep brown in color and rich with flavor. Now a division of B & G Foods (R), Portland, Maine- based B & M Baked Beans also maintain a texture that is firmer than most other varieties of canned baked beans. This firmer texture is brought about by the process of slow- cooking in brick ovens. Personally, I enjoy eating B & M (R) Baked Beans so much, that once I have opened a can of them and placed the unused portion of them in the refrigerator, I will quite often eat them cold, straight from the can. Whereas most other brands of canned baked beans tend to be mushy and/ or clumped together, the firm texture of the B & M (R) Baked Beans allows them to retain their shape as they soak in the delicious accompanying sauce.

While B & M (R) Original Baked Beans are my very favorite overall type of canned baked beans, I have come to discover that B & M (R) also manufactures many other varieties of its delightful bean products. So far, in addition to the Original flavor, I have sampled B & M (R) BBQ Flavored Baked Beans, B & M (R) Vegetarian Baked Beans and B & M (R) Baked Beans with Bacon and Onion. All of these varieties are high- quality products that offer full- bodied flavors and the same firm texture as the Original variety of B & M ((R) Baked Beans. Several times now, I have eaten the BBQ- style beans and find them to be an extremely tasty addition to almost any type of food that I pair them with. They offer an exciting BBQ taste that is slightly sweet and tangy, making them an ideal accompaniment to dishes such as BBQ ribs, pork chops, grilled chicken and hamburgers. The B & M (R) Vegetarian Baked Beans taste remarkably similar to the Original flavor beans, minus the addition of the pork which is present in that product. Fortunately for vegetarians everywhere, the pleasant, hearty flavor of B & M (R) Baked Beans can be enjoyed by them also. I have only eaten the B & M (R) Baked Beans with Bacon and Onion twice, but thoroughly enjoyed them both times and eagerly look forward to eating them again. Besides the afore- mentioned varieties, B & M (R) also produces Country Style Baked Beans, Baked Beans with Maple Flavor and three varieties of No Sugar Added baked beans. Additionally, B & M (R) also produces Red Kidney Baked Beans, canned Raisin Brown Bread and canned Plain Brown Bread.

Anyone who has eaten any of the various types of B & M (R) Baked Beans is undoubtedly aware of how delicious and high- quality they are. For those who have never sampled these luscious legumes, please do not confuse them with most types or brands of canned pork and beans. Most brands of canned pork and beans are not baked, they are often boiled or steamed. While there are some other brands of canned beans that are actually baked, some of which are quite good, none that I”ve encountered come close to offering the same great tastes and textures as those offered by the different varieties of B & M (R) Baked Beans.Nutritionally, B & M (R) Original Baked Beans contain 170 calories, with 15 calories from fat per 1/2 cup serving.
