Greatest Love Songs 2006 in Country Music ~My TOP10!~

Gretchen Wilson, Heather Locklear, Josh Turner, Piano Man, Trisha Yearwood

I love a good romantic song. And in country music there is tons to choose from so this list is hard for me to put together. I admit that most of the songs are hits and most likely I did leave some very good ones out. But here we go:

10. You Save Me by Kenny Chesney

Slow tempo and Chesney singing about being saved by his lover. This song hit the airways with a bang and video was well done and different than previous Chesney videos. Who can resist a country boy who is not afraid to travel in a bus with a rally cap and glasses on his way to return to his loving (and of course beautiful) latino girlfriend.

9. Crash Here Tonight by Toby Keith

Tobys voice is so totally sexy and low and Heather Locklear hanging by his shoulder on a set with cozy couch and plenty candle light on a video was a great move. I’d crash on Toby’s couch anytime!

8. What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts

Another sad love song from from this hugely popular group. The song about young lovers and loosing your man gets you teary eyed. And the video is one of their best ever.

7. Georgia Rain by Trisha Yearwood

Trisha has one of the strongest voices and there is nothing out of place in this song. The video is also one of the best I’ve seen from her. Classic.

6. Tonight I Wanna Cry by Keith Urban

Nobody does a love song like Keith Urban. This modern country piano man hits home with another beautiful and well written soulful melody. You just want to wrap your arms around him and take him home. Nicole, you are one lucky girl!

5. Would You Go With Me by Josh Turner

His got the sexiest voice on the planet. And this is a fitting song and the video takes you out of ordinary. I’d go! He also got the sexiest smile by far and those flirty eyes. Gives me goose bumbs!

4. Some People by LeAnn Rimes

Nothing chubby or baby like on ReAnn anymore! She is absolutely amazing going low low and flirty on this song. I love the video made in the carnival setting and she does look stunning in gold!

3. Every Time I Hear Your Name by Keith Anderson

Just the thought of Keith Anderson chasing little red sport cars makes me smile every time I hear this song. Moving song, smart lyrics and he gets his audience on their knees!

2. I Don’t Feel Like Loving You Today by Gretchen Wilson

Timeless feel, Gretchen shining on a vocal. She shows that she can stop the partying and get serious too, this girl totally has it all! This song could have been recorded 50 years ago.

1. She’s Everything by Brad Paisley

One of the greatest lyrics, Brad sings this song straight from the heart. I had to stop and listen to it twice and it just gets stronger. You could not give a better tribute to your wife, I’m hoping these two are gonna live happily ever after!
