Great Fashion Tips for Curvy Ladies

Curvy Women

In past years, it was very difficult for a woman who had curves to find clothes that were pretty and flattered her figure. Here are some fashion tips for curvy ladies. These are easy to find since finally, the fashion industry is realizing there are real women with real curves in need of flattering clothing.

Very Important-do not try to wear sizes that are too small. I know when it is time to go shopping and in the dressing room the previous worn size is getting snug it’s so hard to go up to the next size. Mentally it’s very frustrating, and you just want to squeeze in as long as you can. This is not flattering at all for your shape, as bulges appear where the jeans/pants are cutting into your waistline. Shirts that are too small are not at all flattering, even in the skinniest of people. When shirts rise up every time you move, and jeans are cinching your waist, or too low, this is not flattering for anybody at all.

Very Important-do not wear overly baggy clothes, as this will not embrace curves at all. Instead, it will make you appear to have no figure at all, and will make it appear you have nothing worth showing off. Sorry ladies, gone are the days of moo-moo type clothing. There is plenty of clothing designed for women of all shapes now. The good news is, it is actually made for comfort now!

When researching fashion tips for curvy women, I typed in jeans for curvy women. I was astonished that the size of the women modeling the jeans appeared very petite. Perhaps we haven’t come as far as I thought. These websites went on my ignore list, and will not be included because they are not realistic. It’s fine to be thin or curvy, but to have a very thin woman modeling jeans for curvy women is insulting.

Fashion Tips For Curvy Ladies Number One-Casual

Keeping the above paragraphs in mind, find some well fitting jeans, and a top that’s long enough so it will not show skin if you reach your arms up in the air (good test). Now let’s set up the outfit. On the Figuresque website I found very flattering styles. The Dark Wash Rhinestone Bootcut Jeans are great because they can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood. At $32.95, these are very affordable for the comfort and style they are offering. These would go lovely with the flattering Trendy Shrug Top in Purple also offered on Figuresque. The cost of this top is $24.95. Hair and accessories for this outfit depend on your style. If you have long hair, it would flatter our neckline if you pulled up and pinned the side strands of your hair. Add some earrings, not too gaudy, to bring attention to your lovely face and eyes. Make up never looks good when its overdone, but don’t forget some light lipstick, and powder to even your complexion. Also, highlight those great cheek bones with a shade that’s light and flattering to your skin tone.

Fashion Tips For Curvy Ladies Number Two-Dressy Occasion

I found a fantastic site called Kiyonna where they offer many great fashionable clothes for curvy women. The dress selection was particularly great. All the dresses offered appeared very flattering, but hey you can’t go wrong with a pretty black dress for the holiday party. The Vivienne Cinch Dress at $98.00 is so sexy! Paired with some low heels (or high if you’re comfortable) this dress is a knockout. This definitely calls for make-up that’s a little more done up, perhaps a darker lipstick and sultry eyes. If your hair is longer, leaving it flowing would look very nice. Don’t forget to wear a pretty long necklace to draw attention to those curves up top.

Fashion Tips For Curvy Ladies Number Three-Business

On a site called Curvety, I came upon a lovely business suit. This lovely, fashionable Taupe Trouser Suit is an unbelievable $40.00. It is very flattering and appropriate for the office and business meetings. As with any outfit in the workplace, when thinking of make up think light. Overdone make up in the office isn’t very professional. Hair would look beautiful swept up off the neck.

Remember, embrace your curves! When you feel comfortable in your clothes and with how you look, it shows. Confidence is always a beauty booster.
