Glenn Quinn was born Glen Martin Christopher Francis Quinn on May 28, 1970 in Dublin, Ireland to Murty and Bernadette Quinn. Quinn’s siblings consisted of two sisters, Sonya and Louise. As a teen, Quinn would play the drums in various local bands. Quinn went to Clonkeen College and acted in local plays. In 1988, his mother along with his sisters packed up and moved to Long Beach, California. Before Quinn’s start in acting, he worked in a factory and was a waiter. He also painted houses.

Quinn did commercials for Ray-Ban along with Pepsi. He also starred in a Richard Marx video called “Satisfied. In 1990, Quinn starred in television shows such as “Beverly Hills 90210″ with Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling and Luke Perry, “Bagdad Caf�” and “The Outsiders” with David Arquette and Billy Bob Thronton. Next up was a television movie called “Call Me Anna”. It was an autobiographical film about Patty Duke that starred Patty herself along with Matthew Perry. Quinn also did “Silhouette” which was another television movie with Faye Dunaway and Talisa Soto in 1990. This same year, Quinn won the role of boyfriend, “Mark Healy” on the popular television series, “Roseanne” while in it’s third season. The show starred Roseanne Barr, Laurie Metcalf, Michael Fishman, John Goodman, Sarah Gilbert and Johnny Galecki. Quinn would stay on for the remaining duration of “Roseanne” which was six more years. In 1991, Quinn made his film debut in the movie, “Shout” which starred John Travolta, Heather Graham and Gwyneth Paltrow. The following year Quinn made an appearance in the series, “Covington Cross”. While filming “Roseanne”, Quinn starred in movies such as “Dr. Giggles”, “Live Nude Girls” with Dana Delany and Kim Cattrall and “Campfire Tales” with Jay R. Ferguson, Christine Taylor, Ron Livingston, James Marsden and Amy Smart. The year following after the ending of “Roseanne”, Quinn starred in the movie “Some Girl” with Juliette Lewis, Michael Rapaport, Giovanni Ribisi and Jeremy Sisto. In 1999, Quinn made an appearance on the short lived television series, “Jesse” which also starred Christina Applegate. His next acting job would be one of his most famous roles to date playing “Allen Doyle” in the popular television series, “Angel” which starred David Boreanaz, Alexis Denisof, Charisma Carpenter, and James Marsters. The show was a spin-off from another popular series, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon and Alyson Hannigan. In 2000, Quinn starred in the television movie, “At Any Cost”. In 2002, his last acting job would be in the film “R.S.V.P”. To supplement his income, Quinn co-owned a nightclub in Los Angeles, California called “Goldfingers” which came about from the James Bond movie.

On December 2, 2002 Quinn passed away on the couch of a friend that he had been staying with in Hollywood, California. Quinn’s autopsy revealed that the young actor died from an accidental heroin overdose. Glenn Quinn was just 32 years old. Quinn is currently buried in Forest Lawn-Cypress in Orange County, California.
