A fast vpn for your iPhone is just around the corner, but you need to know a few things first. I know that technology is like to some people like cough medicine to kids, and the thought of it just makes you want to cry. I’ll try to keep it simple while getting all the important facts across.
So first of all, for mobile devices you need to find a PPTP or L2TP/IPSec VPN. That’s just how mobile devices work. If you know what you’re doing there are ways to jailbreak your iPhone and get SSL/OpenVPN, but it’s not really necessary. L2TP provides a very high level of security and although some say it’s not as secure as SSL, in general, super hackers are not lurking at your local Starbucks waiting to crack your L2TP vpn technology. PPTP is a simpler vpn – simpler setup, simpler construction, and simpler to run, therefore it is going to be faster. Maybe anonymous surfing is just your thing. For these things, L2TP/IPSec is great. If for some reason you MUST use PPTP, this is also a good choice. Less secure doesn’t mean that it’s NOT secure.

All are decent choices, and there are more out there that won’t disappoint you. It’s really a matter of personal choice. However, as far as finding the vpn you need, purchasing it, and starting to use it I think that 12vpn and iVPN provide very user-friendly sites that take the headache and confusion out of purchasing a fast vpn for your iPhone.
