Fused Orange Strawberry Sunny D: Great When Mixed With Slim Fast

French Vanilla, Slim Fast

I love Sunny Delight, so when I saw the Fused Orange Strawberry Sunny D, I wanted to give it a try. My family is sort of traditional and won’t try anything new, but I decided to get this and try it anyway. I have to say when I poured it into my glass, it was really pretty. My first taste was really a surprise. I expected it to be sweet, but it has a real tangy punch to it. It’s the kind of punch it takes a taste or two to get used to. The more I tasted it, the better I liked it.

I am one that really pays attention to taste and texture. Something could taste good, but have a texture that is off and I won’t like it. I have to say I love the way this drink feels in my mouth. Then I had an idea. I get these brain storms sometimes, where I don’t use the product in the way it was intended. I decided that Fused Orange Strawberry Sunny D would make a great breakfast shake. When I make a shake, I make enough for more than one serving, because sometimes I will drink a shake all day long rather than eat a meal. So this is what I did with Sunny D. I used French Vanilla Slim Fast, milk, and Fused Orange Strawberry Sunny D. It turned out great! I don’t like a really thick breakfast shake, but the way I make it is plenty thick enough. Again it is a texture thing!

Sunny D Fused Orange Strawberry Slim Fast Shake (makes almost 2 quarts)

2 quart shaker add 3 scoops of French Vanilla Slim Fast. Add 16 ounces of water, and 24 ounces of Fused Orange Strawberry Sunny D. Add 12 ounces of milk. You can also add a little Splenda to sweeten it just a bit, if you need it sweeter. Just shake it up and pour out a tall glassful.

This shake can be shared with family members or you can keep it in a plastic pitcher with a lid. Just give it a shake and pour what you want and put the rest back. I have so much energy from this little concoction. It tastes so good. When I want fewer calories per serving I just reverse the amount of water and Sunny D. I add a little Splenda to get the right amount of sweetness and I am good for the whole day.

If you want to know how much fat and calories you are consuming in a day, just add up the amount of Sunny D, Slim fast, and milk. I use 2 percent milk, just because I am not fond of the nonfat milk.

I like going on modified fasts for a period of time; especially if I have been really bad about eating things that aren’t so good for me. I feel really good and satisfied with the mixture of juice and diet shake. If you like shakes, but don’t like the boredom, a Slim Fast and Sunny D shake is anything but boring!
