For dog lovers out there, here are some free printable dog quilt patterns. Rather than searching for specific dog breeds for a lost of more quilt patterns, I went with the two websites that had dog and dog related quilting patterns on them.
I know several people who love dogs and wish they could have one but can’t because of allergies, the apartment or house where they live doesn’t allow pets or the deposit for pets is rather high. If you fall into any of these situations, here’s a way to have a dog without breaking any rules or having an allergy attack in the process of having a pet. Even if you can have a dog where you live, these free printable dog quilt patterns may by something to try.
Some of the patterns are applique pieces, others are blocks made into a dog square, and some are for dogs. The dog quilt blocks could be used for wall hangings, table runners, coasters, placemats or even for your dog’s bed. You could even make curtains out of some of these patterns. This project would depend on how creative you feel for the day.

The first link is the one that has the most free printable dog quilt patterns available. If you are an avid quilter, you could mix and match the patterns for one quilt or two. As I did not check the sizes of the patterns, this could be a bit tricky if the appliques or quilt blocks aren’t the same size. However, I have seen quilts with different sizes of blocks in them.

The dog pattern will open in a PDF and can be printed from that page. The downloads are of the dogs only without any type of instructions for making the quilts.

Some of the items are not quilts, but quilted dog items to make for your pet. However, the link for the dog food placemat could be made into a quilt.
