Speaking as a parent of a college student, I wish we had been more prepared for our daughter going to college than we have been over the years. If I had of known the following free printable college worksheets were available on the internet when she started high school, I suspect all of us would have been better prepared financially than we were.

However, the high school counselor helped any of the students that expressed a whole hearted interest in attending college by offering excellent advice on what they needed to achieve both in their school work at the high school level and financial aid for those who weren’t quite there in this matter. The school board and he over the years set up meetings with local colleges, both community, four year colleges, and universities to help parents and their students learn what was available to them on all levels. They also had financial aid counselors available during the senior night college prep workshop.

Although, we live in a very small town centrally located near two community colleges, and three mid-level four year colleges (which means they have to adhere to the same standards the state named colleges have abide by), the counselors from all the colleges agreed that it is in the best interest of college students to start at a community college that allows students to transfer credit hours to other colleges to take their main core classes, such as English, math, science, and history.
