For Deals on the Web, Bradsdeals.com Is King, but Not Alone in a Sea of Competitors

Dyson Vacuum

If you’re looking for the best deals at retail and Internet shopping sites, bradsdeals.com is one source that is making headlines, and with good reason! Upon visiting bradsdeals.com, you’re greeted with a very easy to use three-column layout. On the right-hand side of the page is the most useful information: a list of “top coupons” with logos for the stores where you can use the coupons. Some coupons are printable, some can be used exclusively on the Internet, and some can be used both places.

The middle column on bradsdeals.com is also an excellent resource, highlighting some of the best deals on the Internet. Some of these include an extra discount for visiting through bradsdeals.com. For example, at the time of this article, the top deal is a Dyson vacuum cleaner being sold through overstock.com for $439.99 (retail price is over $500), but a link from bradsdeals.com allows readers to take an additional $60 off of the vacuum cleaner.

The left column allows you to easily search through deals by category and store, as well as giving details on new coupons, expiring coupons, and the latest “strange deal”, which links to a sister site providing information on funny gag items for sale on the Internet.

While bradsdeals.com might be the most user-friendly coupon aggregator on the web, it’s far from being the only one. Here are some others you may want to consider.

Slickdeals.net – This site is laid out in an RSS-feed fashion and is mostly user-submitted. Basically, a user will find a deal on the web or in-store, and then post that information on the slickdeals.net website. Other users can then comment on the deal, saying whether or not it was a good deal, if the link or coupon code provided worked, or adding additional stipulations that may not have been mentioned in the original post.

Woot.com – This site features one deal per day, ranging from household products (such as vacuum cleaners) to technology (such as hard drives for computers) and everything in between. A very extensive and usually witty description of the item is given, so even if you aren’t interested in buying the item, the site is still fun to visit. The item is featured at a deep discount, and limited quantities are available, so if you’re interested, it’s best to check early in the morning!

Wine.woot.com – This site, a spin-off of woot.com, features one deal per week on wine. Like woot.com, only limited numbers of the wine being featured are available, but since this is such a niche product, there is usually enough to last the entire week.

Shirt.woot.com – This is another site by the people who created woot.com and wine.woot.com, except this site exclusively features t-shirts. Instead of being a “deal of the day” like woot.com, it’s a “shirt of the day”, and like woot.com, there are limited quanitites available. The great thing about this site is that the shirts are usually featured at a low price (about $10, shipping included), and, because most shirts featured on Shirt Woot are created by independent designers, it’s a great way for new clothing designers to showcase their apparel and draw popularity.
