Easy, Delicious Cocktail Recipes to Sip on Fourth of July

Fireworks scatter throughout the dark skies, people fill their stomachs with delicious food, and patriotic music is heard throughout the air. Red, white, and blue surround the environment. Ah! Such a great summer day to relax and bask in the pleasant environment. While children refresh their taste buds with traditional drinks such as lemonade, juices, and smoothies, adults can enjoy their choice of beverages such as a soda, beer, or wine. Tired of tradition or want to change it up this year, adults? Don’t fret. Here are some fun, easy, and yummy recipes you can make this Fourth of July. These cocktails will make your party a hit in 2008.

The Sunny Melon-tini
3 cups of diced watermelon
3 cups of diced cantaloupe
2 cups of diced honeydew
3 ounces of citrus vodka
Patriotic paper umbrellas

Freeze the watermelon for half an hour. These will serve as the “ice” that will cool your drink. Afterwards, put all the ingredients in a blender. Mix until smooth like puree. Pour into a martini glass. Garnish leftover melon on top of drink. Decorate the glass by placing a patriotic paper umbrella on the side.

Uncle Sam’s Shooter
1/2 ounce of vodka
1/2 ounce of blue curacao
1/2 ounce of coconut juice
Whipped cream
Raspberries

Pour vodka into a shot glass. Then, pour in the blue curacao. Lastly, pour in the coconut juice. Mix. Finish it off with whipped cream on top with a raspberry.

The American Dream
3 ounces of vodka
1 pint of vanilla ice cream
1 bottle of strawberry syrup
1 small bottle of blue food coloring

Pour in vodka in a medium-sized ice cream glass. Then, mix in the blue food coloring with the vodka. Next, put 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream on top. Drizzle with strawberry syrup.

Home of the Brave
1 ounce of tequila
1 ounce of citrus vodka
Lemon

Mix the two ingredients together on a shot glass. Garnish lemon on top.

The Patriotic Cosmopolitans
2 ounce of cranberry juice
2-3 ounce of raspberry vodka
Lime
Blueberries

Put juice and vodka in glass. Shake and strain. Pour on a martini glass. Garnish with some lime and blueberries.

Stars & Stripes
1 ounce of peppermint schnapps
1 ounce of orange vodka
Mint leaves
Blueberries

Pour schnapps and vodka together. Mix. Garnish with mint leaves and blueberries.
