Fourth of July Celebrations in Minnesota: Festivals & Fireworks

Towns and cites across the State of Minnesota will celebrate Independence Day with festivals, entertainment, music, fun, and fireworks. Communities gather to celebrate the birthday of a great nation. Following are some of the celebrations in the State of Minnesota.

St. Paul/Minneapolis. June 29 – July 4. The Twin. Cities Taste of Minnesota at Harriet Island Regional Park will be celebrating Independence Day. This year’s festival is celebrating 25 years of food, fun and music. Taste food from area vendors while listening to live musical entertainment , visiting food booths and enjoying the sights. Every night will feature a spectacular fireworks display to cap off a festive day. Celebrate Independence Day, with a festive Twin Cities party.

St. Cloud. July 4. 2 pm – 10 pm. Freedom Fest Downtown St. Cloud. The fest includes kids games, area musicians, entertainment, displays, activities and a July 4 program honoring the United States Military. The American Legion Post 76’s 60th Anniversary July 4 fireworks display is the second largest display in Minnesota. Neat Veterans Bridge, downtown St. Cloud.

Duluth. July 4. Duluth Fourth Fest. Family activities. “Dive-in” by Skydivers and a patriotic “fly over” of F-16’s by the 148th Fighter Wing from Duluth. entertainment by North Shore Big Band, Rock–Billy Revue, the Happy Hour Band and more. Area vendors serve food including everything from brats and hamburgers to Australian battered potatoes, fish, pizza, ice cream, gyros, Asian cuisine and handcrafted beers form local Brewhouse. Fireworks at dusk.

Rochester. July 4. The Concert Band will perform tribute to the anniversary of America’s Independence at the Silver Lake Park soccer field. The free concert include music such as “Semper Fidelis”, “1812 Overturn” and “Stars & Stripes Forever”. Concert will be followed by the fireworks display.

Stillwater. July 4. 4th of July Fireworks on the St. Croix River. Beautiful fireworks over the St. Croix River in downtown Stillwater. Show begins at dusk.

Brainerd. July 1 – 8. Traditional 4th of July celebration with fireworks at dusk on July 6.

Brainerd Lakes. July 3. Pequot Lakes Fireworks at the Pequot Lakes School Football Field. Fireworks at dusk.

Afton July 4. 4th of July Parade with family events and food throughout the day.

Hastings. July 4. 10 pm. Fireworks Hastings Country Club.

Cannon Falls. June 29 to July 4. Grandstand entertainment, extreme bullriding, harness horse racing, demolition derbies and more. On Jul4 4 there will be a parade at 11:30 am. Fireworks at dusk.

Detroit Lakes. July 4. Fireworks on City Beach.

Elysian. June 29 – July 4. Parades, pageant, contests, fireworks.

Anoka. July 3. Fireworks. The Mayor’s Ice cream Social is July 4.

Arrowwood. July 4. Fireworks.

Marshall. July 4. Marshall’s Independence Park haws old fashioned games, band concerts, fireworks.

Nashwauk. July 3. Fireworks Dusk.

Lake in Grand Rapids. July 4. Independence Day Fireworks at dusk.

Keewatin. July 4. Celebration at the City Park with arts and crafts, Grand Parade, children’s events.

Grand Fork, MN/ND. July 4. Sertoma Park. Fourth of July Celebration with Kids parade, petting zoo, pony rides, family games, 6th annual car & truck show, live entertainment and more.. Fireworks at dusk.
