EastSide Fitness Center Gives You More for Your Money

Our family joined EastSide back in February of this year. We were looking for a place that was very family oriented and had as much for the kids to do as it did for us. We were fortunate enough to join at a time where you got two months free, then we paid the full year up front, giving us even additional savings.

Some of the perks of a family membership are that your kids get to do everything for free. Well, almost free! You have to pay a $10 registration fee that you pay yearly, then they can participate in the endless activities they have for kids. They have Tae Kwon Do, Tumbling, all kinds of dance classes, and a fun activity called Jungle Gym, a mini-gym for kids five and up. My son does the tumbling and he loves it. He’s only three years old, so he loves doing somersaults and back bends.

On top of that, the have on site babysitting. It’s a really nice babysitting room with loads of toys and stuff for the kids to sign on. I feel completely safe leaving my infant there in their care. They have several “grandmother” types there doing the babysitting, so your kids get ootles of love while you get your workout done. The only downside is that the babysitting closes in the afternoon, which is when I could use it most, so I have to postpone my workout until the evening.

EastSide has a full sized track inside, so if you don’t like to do the treadmill, or the weather is bad, you can come to EastSide and walk there. Inside of the track, they have basketball courts if you wanna shoot some hoops. The wonderful thing that EastSide does, is that seniors are welcome to come and use ther walking track for free. I think that is a great resource to the senior citizen community!

EastSide boasts a two story fitness area, with at least a dozen treadmills, several eliptical machines, steppers, and loads of stationary bikes. They have two sets of strength training machines, one on each level. Lastly, they have free weights on each floor as well, but a majority of those are on the first floor for those beef cake types! I also love the fact that everything is well serviced and maintained. It’s all extremely clean, too! They have antibacterial wipes throughout the gym, so you can feel at ease about all of the equipment that you use. They are nice to give your hands a wipedown, too, so you can get any bacteria off of them as well.

They also have an extensive list of classes that you can take to break up the monotony of a treadmill or weights. They have yoga, TurboKick, Group Power, Step Aerobics, regular aerobics, and great classes for senior members.

Outside of the fitness center is Splashdown, a waterpark that is not included in the membership, but it is nice to have on site. They also have several baseball fields, soccer fields, an outdoor track and football field.

Their membership rates are fairly reasonable, and they have great discounts available for corporate memberships. All you need is five employees of a business to be members of EastSide to qualify for their corporate rates.

All in all, we love EastSide. I have never been so faithful to a gym in my life. It’s a place that I love to take my family and have turned our new healthy lifestyle into an example for our children. I give EastSide 4 out of 5 Tiaras on the Amy Gayle Scale.
