EarthBox Ready-To-Grow Gardening Kit Review – Gardening for People Living in Apartments

Planting a Garden

If you live in an apartment or a home with little or no room for planting a garden. I would highly suggest investing into a EarthBox Ready-to-Grow kit. This kit comes with everything you need to grow your very own garden or vegetables. It can be placed on a balcony, porch, or deck. In my opinion anything that you grow in it produces better results then if you slaved over creating a regular garden

The EarthBox Ready-to-Grow kit includes the following items:
The EarthBox – which come in 3 different colors – green, terracotta, and natural (beige), or if you choose, they also have an organic version.
aeration screen
fill tube
fitted plastic cover – which protects the garden from weeds and insects
potting mix
fertilizer
dolomite

*The EarthBox has an optional staking system that can be purchased at a reasonable cost

The dimensions of this product are 29L x 14W x 11H. It can hold up to 3 gallons of water in the water troff and 2 cubic feet of potting soil. It’s durable plastic components are UV stabilized.

Depending on the plants or seedlings you choose, the Earthbox will give you an instructional map or layout on how many of a certain vegetable or mixed vegetables you can plant in one box. For example: If you were planting watermelon, the suggested amount of plants for 1 box would be 2. But if you were planting strawberries the suggested number of plants would be 6. The EarthBox claims to be able to hold up to 16 seedlings or starter plants as well.

This product also comes with a year warranty and instruction booklet.

The cost for this product is $52.95 but the price decreases with the more you buy.

To purchase the product directly from the manufacturer visit the EarthBox website. Most nursery specific stores are also carrying these wonderful growing containers.

Have fun with the EarthBox. Mix and match your vegetables or flowers. For example, one of my EarthBox’s I call my salsa kit. I have planted one tomato, one jalepeno, one cucumber, one cilantro, and one onion. It’s all I need for creating fabulous tasting salsa.

All and all if you have the need or want to grow your own flowers and vegetables I would give this product a 9 out of 10 rating. It’s well worth the price for the amount that is produced. It can also be used over and over again and makes an excellent gift.
