Corn Hole is a game that has spanned history. It is an abosulte great game for family reunions, summer bar-b-ques, game day parties, and tailgate parties. All you need are a set of Corn Hole Boards and a few Corn Hole Bean Bags.

While you can purchase your Corn Hole Bean Bags, it makes more sense to make your own. Not only is it cheaper, but you can custom them, as well as abuse them with some furious Corn Hole Games.

In this guide, I am going to teach you how to build your very own Corn Hole Bean Bags. In no time, you can be slinging the cornbags like a master Cornholio.

Before we get started, make sure you have read and you understand all of the directions.

Here are your necessary materials

* 8 (4 of each color) 7″ x 7″ squares of duck cloth or other heavy canvas
If you are unfamiliar with duck cloth, it is a heavy-duty canvas fabric made for outdoor use. It can be found at most fabric stores.
* 2 (1 of each color) spools of heavy duty thread
* fabric glue (optional)
* feed-grade dried corn (8 lbs)
Feed corn IS NOT POPCORN. Popcorn will not work for Corn Hole Bean Bags. Feed corn is inexpensive and can be bought at any feed store.

Here are your necessary tools:

* fabric cutters or scissors
* straight edge
* sewing machine
* pencil or pen
* fabric or craft glue
* kitchen scale
* sewing pins
* funnel

Step 1: Measure and cut your duck cloth. For your Corn Hole Bean Bags, you will want four bags each in two colors. Roll out your fabric, and using a straight edge, measure out and mark your 7″ squares. You should end up with eight pieces of fabric that look like figure 1. Use your fabric cutter or scissors to cut out the squares.

Step 2: Sew the bag. Using a sewing machine, sew three of the four sides of your Corn Hole Bean Bag. Your seam should be 1/2″ away from the edge of the fabric. You should ensure that you do not sew all for sides. Use the fabric glue to glue down the remaining 1/2″ flaps near you seam. This will ensure that your bags resist bursting. After the glue dries, turn the bags right-side out.

Step 3: Fill your bags. Your bags should weigh approximately 16 ounces. You will want to measure your bag and corn on your kitchen scale. Add the corn until you have 16 ounces, but keep in mind your cloth weighs 1/2 ounce or so. Using your funnel you can transfer the corn into your bag. Repeat this until all eight bags are filled.

Step 4: Finish your sewing. This part can be tough because the corn has a mind of its own and the duck cloth is tough. Use your sewing machine to sew the fourth edge of your Corn Hole Bean Bag. You might need to pin the seam multiple times until you can keep the corn from spilling out. Once you have all four edges sewn. The bag is ready.

Now that your Corn Hole Bean Bags are complete, all you need are some Corn Hole Boards and you are ready to play!
