Connecticut Asks for Assistance in Finding Missing Children

Abduct, Bianca, Brown Hair

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children currently lists 15 children from the state of Connecticut on their site. Many of these children vanished years ago and have yet to be found. Can you help find Connecticut’s missing children?

Jovonna Stacey Crawford
Jovanna went missing on June 5, 1981 when she was just two years old. The last time Jovanna was seen she was at her home in the care of a family friend. The family friend gave the child to a woman who said she was Jovanna’s grandmother. No trace of Jovanna has been found since. Jovanna would now be 27 years old. She is a black female with brown eyes and dark hair.

Bianca Elaine Lebron
Bianca would now be age 16. She disappeared on November 7 2001 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The last time she was seen was at school when it was thought she got into a car that was dark in colour and had tinted windows. A man was driving the car. Bianca is white/hispanic with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Rosa Marie Camacho
The last time Rosa was seen was when she was leaving a store in the Hartford area with her mother on October 24, 1997. She would no be fourteen years old and is white/hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. The mother of the child, Rosa Delgado was later found dead but there is still no sign of Rosa Camacho.

April Dawn Pennington
April left her home in the middle of the night on May 29, 1996 when she was 16 years old. This was the last time she was ever seen or heard from. April would now be age 26. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. When she went missing she was 5’2″ and weight 100 pounds. April disappeared from her home in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Shima, Ibtsam and Hanan Tarat
Their father, Abdo Ali Tarat, on December 20, 2003 from New Britian Connecticut, kidnapped these three sisters. Ibtsam would now be 14 years old, Hanan twelve years old and Shima nine years old. It is thought that the girls were taken out of the US to Yemen. It is also thought that they could be in the company with three boys. Each girl has brown eyes, and dark hair.

Andrea Michelle Reyes
Andrea was kidnapped by her non-custodial mother on October 5, 1999 from New Haven, Connecticut. Andrea would no be nine years old and has brown eyes and dark hair, a lazy right eye and a birthmark on her forehead. The child’s mother is Roasa Tenorio who would no be 35 years old. It is thought Rosa could be using alias such as Rosita or Guadalupe as well as a different last name, Minor.

Janice K. Pockett
Janice vanished on July 26, 1973 near her home in Tolland, Connecticut. Janice left her home on her bike and was never seen again. Her bike was discovered on a nearby street, Rhodes Road, near some woods. Janice has blonde hair and blue eyes. She would now be 41 years old.

According to the US Department of Justice there are 797,500 children reported missing each year. That is an average of 2,100 children each day. Family members abduct 203,900 children each year and 58,200 are abducted by non-family each year. Each year 1,682,900 children either run away or are thrown away.
