Cold Fx for the Common Cold and Other Maladies

Cold Remedy, Head Cold

I first heard about Cold Fx through my husband when I had a horrible head cold while we were just dating. He said he bought some at our local drugstore and had been taking it for cold and flu symptoms for the last year and it really worked. He urged me to try the dosage regimen to see how well it worked for me. I had never heard of it and was very skeptical. I thought to myself, Well what’s it going to hurt? It was free to me because he had some on hand and it contained only natural ingredients that I was familiar with. So, down the hatch it went. Surprising enough, I felt much better by the next morning. All I had was a just a little runny nose. The morning before I had a headache, couldn’t breathe through my nose, coughing and, well, you know the drill.

I decided I should call him and thank him for introducing me to the new staple in my medicine cabinet. He laughed, he’s always laughing at me, and said your welcome. I drove to our local pharmacy and looked everywhere for it but I couldn’t find it! One of the employees said that no one in the U.S. carried it anymore due to it not yet passing the FDA strict guidelines as a cold remedy. (This process takes years and Cold Fx has been ruled harmless to most people. Please see the Cold Fx website to see if it is okay for you.) I didn’t even know that it was made in Canada. Frankly, I didn’t care. I went home in angst and plopped down on my couch.

That’s when it hit me. EBAY! If you can’t find it on EBay you don’t really need it, do you? I found some and they are actually more expensive than what I thought they would be. I gave around $11.00 a bottle for them. Well worth it. I took my dear hubby’s until the new ones arrived.

How does it work?

It is made from North American ginseng derivative. Anyone who is okay to take ginseng should not have a problem with this medicine. It boosts the immune system you already have to fight off the cold. The drug does not claim to cure the illness on its own and it should not be viewed that way. It’s a medicinal way to tell your body to kick up the immune power.

What are the side effects?

I have been taking Cold Fx for years now with no side effects at all. My husband, older children, and father take it with no side effects. Obviously that’s just us. The bottle and website say not to use it with drugs like Warfarin because ginseng dilates blood vessels. Also, due to lack of studies pregnant and/or breastfeeding women should not take it. Studies have also not been conducted for children under 12 and so they should avoid use too.

I am not a doctor or any other health care worker. I just know what works for my family and this is it! I do not know anyone even remotely associated with the company who makes it and receive no monetary compensation for my claims. All I know is this: Since I was a little girl I had a poor immune system. I would have strep at least twice a year, colds, and anything else that decided to attach itself to me. Since I have been taking this I have very few colds (2 in the last 3 years) and absolutely no strep. My children have responded well to dosing as well.

To prevent colds, this medicine works too. Although I have to say that hand washing and getting fresh air, eating right, and moderate exercise would be better for your entire body.
