Camelbeach Waterpark in the Poconos: An Adventure You Will Never Forget

Blue Nile, Poconos, Soft Pretzels, Waterpark

Camelbeach Waterpark which is Camelback Ski Center in the winter is one of the most intense waterparks you’ll ever visit. It will surely be a venture you and your family will never forget.

This waterpark is the perfect place to go on gorgeous summer day. It has so much to offer it’s sometimes difficult to decide what to do first. The park offers activities for pre-school age up to adults. So it’s a great place if you have kids or if your adults going alone.

Not only are there 22 waterslides but there is also mini golf, a chairlift ride to the top of the mountain, plus many cafes to enjoy food and drinks. There are picnic tables available adjacent to the park if you have packed your own lunch.

One of my favorite rides is the Blue Nile Adventure River, it’s awesome. All you have to do is lay back on your tube and float pass waterfalls, bridges and mountains and the nice thing about this ride is your not hurried off your tube, if you want you can float on the Nile River all day long.

Next, are the Bumper Boats you can ride alone or take someone with you. It’s a lot of fun if you come with a group, you can see how many times you could bump into each other.

The wave pool better know as Kahuna Lagoon have the most compelling waves that you’ll find in Northeast Pennsylvania. You are guaranteed to feel like your swimming in the ocean minus the shells, algae and jellyfish.

The water slides are endless there are racing slides, spinning slides, six foot drop slides, you name it and they have it.

Another great feature of Camelbeach is the food. You will find a huge variety of food carts and cafes throughout the park. The cheese steaks at Kahuna’s are out of this world, they are Philadelphia Style and there is no skimping on the onions, peppers or cheese. At the Barefoot Grill you have your choice of Burgers, Hotdogs, Fries or Piping Hot Soft Pretzels. Make sure you make a pit stop at the Giant Lemon Cart, they serve the best fresh squeezed lemonade I ever tasted. There is even more; two Hershey Ice Cream Stands, Individual Pizzas, Salads, Dipping Dots, Fried Chicken, Beef Brisket, Ribs, the variety of food is endless. Something is definately wrong if you can’t satisfy your taste buds at thhis park.

All in all, Camelbeach is positively a great way to spend a summer day with your family. So pack up your bathing suits, towels, sunscreen and sunglasses and head on out for a fun day at the beach. Don’t worry if you forget something because there are gift shops there too. Take exit 299 off Interstate 80 in Tannersville, Pennsylvania
