Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Qua Spa Review

Caesar's Palace, Energy Work, Family Adventures, Holistic Treatments, Muir Woods

I must admit, I’m not normally a spa guy. For me, it’s usually just something I do when on vacation to add a bit of luxury to my life or as a romantic experience with a traveling companion. During a Memorial Day visit to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, I had the opportunity to spend a Sunday at their fabulous Qua Baths & Spa.

The full spa and gym are available to hotel guests (and the public) for $45 or $25 for access to the gym area only. The spa, separated into men’s and women’s areas, is very luxurious and also a large space with a lot of things to do. The spa is inspired by ancient Roman baths, and I think it provides a lot of experiences, even if you just spend the day without getting any treatments.

Locations

Caesars has a Qua Baths & Spa in both their Las Vegas and Atlantic City properties, and both offer a similar menu of services. In Las Vegas, the spa is on the second level of Caesars’ Augustus Tower, across from the delicious Guy Savoy restaurant.

Ayurvedic Journey

I chose the Ayurvedic Journey, which is a combination of massage and holistic treatments. I enjoyed the experience, but in the future will just stick with a traditional sports massage. My journey started with a full body herbal mask, then a massage with “energy work,” followed by a heat wrap. While the heat wrap is happening, they drip oil on your forehead, then massage it in, which is a traditional technique. The 90-minute treatment is $250, and most of the treatments are around $200.

Other Amenities

The overall design is beautiful — they really achieve a modern interpretation of an ancient Roman bath. I enjoyed the pools and spas. Like an ancient Roman bath, they feature hot, warm, and cold pools. Qua also has saunas, steam rooms, whirlpool tubs, and even a relaxation room with big leather recliners and a bunch of HD flat screens all showing sports (this was the men’s section).

Caesars Total Rewards

Just like I try to always fly American Airlines to accumulate the most frequent flyer miles on a single airline, I try to limit my gambling to one casino (or at least one gaming and hotel group) and use the Caesars Total Rewards program to maximize the value I get for the money I spend. I earn Rewards points for my casino play, but also for my spending at the hotel, restaurants, and other parts of my trip, and can then use those points for meals, rooms, and things like my spa experience.
