When planning a trip to Branson, visitors should take in a live dinner theatre show. There are two very unique dinner shows to choose from.
The Dixie Stampede is centrally located on the famous Highway 76, also known as “The Strip”” to locals and frequent visitors. The Dixie Stampede is a live-action show. The audiences are divided into two sides, the North, and the South. The teams will cheer on their side through many challenges performed by a cast of talented men and women. Trained trick riders display awesome talent on horseback, wagon races and a new segment this season, Rumble in the Treetops, are just a few examples of entertainment displayed throughout the show. Throw in some pig races, buffalo stampedes and plenty of beautiful horses and you have a well-rounded show!
A friendly wait staff is on hand to serve up some great food during the show. Guests are started off with a cheddar biscuit and homemade vegetable soup, followed by the main course of chicken, pork loin and potato wedges. For dessert, they offer apple turnovers. At Dixie, they don’t believe in silverware, so be prepared to dig right in with this yummy selection of finger foods!
Guests are encouraged to arrive early, for the pre-show in the Carriage Room. Upon entering the theater, guests can take a stroll by all the four-footed stars of the show. The Horse stalls line the sidewalk leading to the entrance. While guests are warned not to pet the horses, they are encouraged to take advantage of a great photo opportunity.
Shows are at 5:30, with adult tickets listed as $43.50. Children 4-11 are offered discounted prices.

Another unique dinner theater in Branson, Missouri is the Ozark Murder Mysteries show. Premiering in 2010, this production has opened its’ third season in a new location. Located at the Branson Central Theater, at the intersection of Hwy 165 and Green Mountain Drive, this show is truly one to “die for.
Ozark Murder Mysteries is an audience participation show filled with several potential suspects. During intermission, each dinner guest has the opportunity to fill out a brief survey, providing their guess as to who the murderer is, and why the murder took place. Throughout the 2012 season, this incredibly talented cast will provide four different murder mysteries. Now running through May 27th is “Marriage is Murder”, all about Hollywood celebs spending a not-so-quiet honeymoon in the Ozarks. Mayhem quickly ensures as the word gets around that Stanley and Jolene Pitt are in town. Thrown into the mix is the crazy ex-girlfriend who has been “blinded by love,” a somewhat unbalanced hotel worker with quite the imagination and Ken and Barbie King,a couple with their own greedy agenda.
This murder mystery is made up of a very talented cast, providing guests with the ultimate dinner show experience. Tickets are $28.00 for adults and $15.00 for children, for the show only. Guests that would like dinner with their show can buy a ticket at $39.00 for adults and a family pass that includes two adults and a max of three kids for $98.00.
