Working with mosaics can sound a little intimidating, but you will be pleasantly surprised how easy it really is!
To make Blue Willow Ware Mosaic Tiled Kitchen Table you will need to spread it out over a couple days; so working over the weekend will probably work best. While you won’t be working on the craft project all day long, you do need to allow for time for materials to dry.
To Make Blue Willow Ware Mosaic Tiled Kitchen Table You Will Need:
Grout
Tile Adhesive
Blue Willow Plates
Hammer
Sand paper
Wooden Kitchen Table
The first step is to clean your table. If you have existing tile you will be replacing, then go ahead and remove it.
Everyone will have a different sized Tiled Kitchen Table, so I can only give you tips on how to know how to make your Blue Willow Ware Tiled Kitchen Table.
The entire tiled kitchen table will be covered in tile made from Blue Willow Plates.
Now, you need to establish the pattern or lack of pattern you want to create on your Blue Willow Ware Tiled Kitchen Table. Personally, I like a random pattern, but that is up to you. If you have the time you could try cutting your Blue Willow Ware plates into small square tiles.
The first step is to take your vintage blue willow plates and put them inside of a paper bag or pillowcase. Lightly break them with a hammer until you have tons of small tile pieces. This is a great way to break up some vintage Blue Willow Plates that have damage on them; you bought on the cheap at a yard sale, or even reproduction Blue Willow plates.
Once you have your pattern established, you need to start working on your Blue Willow Ware Tiled Kitchen Table.
So, take some rough sand paper and start to sand off the shine from our laminate counter tops.
When you have finished you can wee away any dust.

Now, I would use a white grout for a vintage or traditional look. This will continue the white that is in the Blue Willow Plates. You can buy grout in almost any color imaginable.
Use a trowel to apply the grout liberally over each Blue Willow Plate tile on the kitchen tabletops. Let it dry to a haze, then wipe a way with a sponge until clean and clear.
Now, once the grout has dried on your Blue Willow Ware Mosaic Tiled Kitchen Table you are finished.
