I bought the Maidenform 7169 bra first, and then later purchased a Body by Victoria Secrets in the same size. Both bras claim to be “great under T shirts,” seamless, smoothing, and lifting. I have been on the hunt for the best seamless bra to wear under a t shirt.
After a few months of wearing each seamless bra under t shirts I have a few conclusions. If you wear a C cup or larger, then these results will be interesting to you.
Price
I bought the Maidenform 7169 Bra for $28 before taxes at my local Macy’s. It was on sale from $36. The Body By Victoria seamless bra costs $40 at pretty much any given time before taxes. So, without the sale at Macy’s both bra’s cost about the same.
The Look
Both seamless under t shirt bras have light padding on the front to give the seamless look. They also come in a variety of colors. Maidenform has nude, white, black, and a tan. Victoria’s Secret has a ton of colors. Red to purple, you name it.
Now, for the seamless look under shirts. I wear these with t shirts and other shirts that need a seamless look. The Maidenform bra completely covers the whole breast, so you get no line at the top.
Unfortunately the Victories Secret Body does not reach as high. It does not give a line in all t shirts at the top of the bra, but I am always checking to see if it is. It is not as low as demi bra.
Neither one adds too much padding, so my size does not look any bigger. The Maidenform Bras makes the shape of the breasts more natural in my opinion. The Body By Victoria lifts higher and rounder, creating more of a boob job look. Both have their uses, so just keep in mind the look you are heading for.
Comfort
The straps on the MaidenformBra are simply wider, just a little, but this makes all the difference. The straps on the Body By Victoria Secret bra are by no means thin, but they are thin enough that I feel them pressing into my shoulders, which I find a little irritating.
The back strap stays put in place very well on both seamless t shirt bras.
Longevity
I wash each bra in the machine on delicate. No one I know has time for hand washing, including myself. I lay them out flat to dry.
So far, I have to say I am happy that neither on of the slightly padded cups has creased, got those ridiculous bumps, or misshaped in any way. I have had them both about 3 months.
It is a tie for longevity if you care for these seamless t shirt bras.
Overall Coverage
Overall the Body By Victoria’s Secret Bra has a more seamless look on the front of the cup. You see nothing. The Maidenform is pretty good, but not as good as the Body Bra.
So, when I need a complete seamless look is the Body By Victoria’s Secret Bra. When I need better shape and comfort, it is the Maidenform 7169 Bra as the winner.
