Best Girl Baptism Invitations

Crucifix

I recently named my top picks for boy baptism invitations, so I thought that it would only be fair to do the same for those precious baby girls. My criteria for picking the girl invitations are similar to those for boys. As with the boy invites, I want the girl’s to standout on color, spiritual theme, originality, and price. For color, I’m a traditionalist and still like pink for girls. I wouldn’t mind white too because, in terms of baptism, white symbolizes purity since the act of baptizing someone is meant to cleanse away the original sin. For theme, I want the design to make religious references. Specifically, I’m looking for depictions of, or allusions to, crosses, christening gowns, or even candles. Participants in a baptism ceremony are often asked to light candles which symbolize life and faith. I tend to stay away from designs with drawings of churches, only because they’re more appropriate for wedding invitations. For originality, I favor invites that have unique artistic style, make good use of paper (e.g., front & back printing, layering), or have extra-ordinary shape, size, folds or embellishments. With regards to price, I’m always in search of value. An invitation doesn’t have to be cheap; it just has to be a good value for what it offers. Without further ado, here are this year’s nominations for best girl baptism invitation:

#1 Die-cut Pink Ribbon:
What a beautiful design! This 6″x8″ embellished invitation is almost completely covered in pink and the portion that is not forms a large cross on the left hand side. The cross is fashioned out of actual pink ribbon inserted from the back and is surrounded by a bubbly scallop-printed border. There’s a floral shaped square where the cross intersects. Your wording is presented on the right hand side. The invitation does require assembly but BabyCachet will do it for you when they print your personalization. A pack of ten personalized invitations is priced starting at $20.91.

#2 Pink with Cross:
For a greeting card look, consider this folded invitation which is white on the outside and pink on the inside. The front side features a pink box with a white cross inside. The box has a triple border of solid brown, pink, and white. The cross is holographic and changes color when viewed at different angles. Your text is printed inside and a small amount of text can also be printed on the front side. This invitation comes with either white or optional pink envelope and sells for about $40 for 20.

#3 Foil Cross Pink:
This pink invite conveys a couple of subtle messages with its artwork. On the left, a crucifix is tied with a pinkish white bow as if to say that this day is about giving baby the gift of baptism. Since many birth announcements feature a bow, the bow on the crucifix could also symbolize that the baptism is the child’s birth as a Christian. Both are equally beautiful meanings. Your wording is shown on the right side in your choice of font style. This invitation, which measures a sizable 6″x8″, costs $16.18 per ten.

#4 Pink Flower:
Your eyes will be drawn to this invite by a cluster of blooming purple flowers forming a border along the right side. Baby’s photo takes up the entire left half of the 4″x5.5″ invite space. Pink covers the remaining area which is where your text is printed. A simple cross hangs above your wording. This invitation is sold for about $1.50 each in increments of 15. Alternatively, you can purchase a digital image for about $31 which will allow you to do the printing yourself and is a convenient option if you do not need or want professional quality printing or cardstock.

#5 Tessa:
How this photo card invitation will look depends on your baby’s photo. If you want to mimic the look shown in the example, use a black & white photo, preferably the best resolution photo you have. On this invitation, baby’s photo is framed on three sides by a black border. The border on the right side is wider than the other two and contains a pink cross and the title “BAPTISM”. A short amount of text can be printed on the top border. Baby’s name is printed in script font along the bottom of the photo. The bottom border is solid pink and contains the rest of your text. Prices depend on card size with 4″x6″ costing $1.65 each, 5″x7″ $1.85, and 5″x5″ $1.95.
