During the Halloween season, there are many people who like to go out and visit the different haunted attractions. One popular attraction among many is the Bennett’s Curse Haunted Attraction. In business for over ten years and selected as one of America’s Best Haunts in 2010, this walk-through attraction features vampires, other scary characters, scary props, and even a pitch black maze! Here is a glimpse inside of one of the most popular -and terrifying- haunted attractions in Maryland!
Bennett’s Curse Haunted Attraction is located at Blobs Park. Blobs Park can be found at 8024 Max Blobs Park Road, Jessup, MD 20794. This haunted attraction is open in September and October. It is open various days Sunday through Thursday from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. On these days, the price is $20.00 for a general admission ticket and $30.00 for a speed pass ticket. On Friday and Saturday, it is open from 7:00pm until 11:00pm. The ticket prices on these two days are $25.00 for a general admission ticket and $35.00 for a speed pass ticket. You can buy your tickets online at the official website or in person at the ticket booth. They do offer group rates (15 people or more), as well as discounts and coupons.
When you first get to the Bennett’s Curse Haunted Attraction, you can go buy your tickets or get right in line if you have already purchased your tickets online. The line can get pretty long, and the wait time can last up to two hours. During the wait, you may hear horror movie theme music played over the speakers to entertain (and frighten) you. Remember to dress for the weather, as you may be outside for quite some time. There will be food vendors on hand in case you want to grab a bite to eat or something to drink while you wait.
There are two attractions to check out. The House of the Vampyres and the Sanctuary of Insanity. The House of the Vampyres is a large walk-through castle full of terrifying vampires and other characters, ready to jump out at you! The Sanctuary of Insanity is a pitch black inflatable walk-through maze, that does become a little narrow. Both of these walk-through attractions are connected to one another. The end of the attraction will lead you right back outside.
Warning: If you do not like small dark places, you may want to re-think visiting Bennett’s Curse.
