Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall- it doesn’t matter the season- iced tea is my favorite choice of drinks. Every now and then, I like to switch over to the flavored iced tea mixes. But, mainly I stick with drinking tea with lemon and sugar. Tea has a host of health benefits, so I feel good about drinking it instead of soda pop. But, my guy has never been a tea drinker. He’d rather slug down diet cola. So, in an effort to get him off his soda, I took a chance and bought him some flavored tea mix. I purchased a tin of AriZona Peach Diet Iced Tea Mix at my local Big Lots for around 3 dollars.
According to the company web site, they are changing the packaging of this product. Instead of selling it in the collectible metal tins, the new AriZona Peach Diet Iced Tea Mix will come in a
tall, round canister. By the picture it looks to be made of plastic or cardboard.
I’ve seen AriZona drinks at other stores like Kroger. As popular as it is, I’d bet it’s widely available.
Product Description
AriZona Peach Diet Iced Tea Mix- at least the one I bought- comes in a 1.9-ounce container. Inside, there are 6 tubs that make a total of 12 quarts of iced tea. The outside label states there are “No Calories” and “No Carbohydrates.”
Aside- The AriZona Beverage Company is based in Lake Success, New York. It was named after the state of Arizona by one of the founder’s wives.

The ingredients of AriZona Peach Diet Iced Tea Mix are Citric Acid (Provides Tartness), Instant Tea, Natural Flavors, Maltodextrin, Sucralose (Splenda® Brand) and Acesulfame Potassium.
Nutritional Facts
A serving size of AriZona Peach Diet Iced Tea Mix is 1/8 of a tub which makes an 8-ounce glass. One serving contains 0 calories, 0 grams of fat, 0 milligrams of sodium, 0 grams of carbohydrates, 0 grams of sugars and 0 grams of protein. So, other than a great peachy/iced tea taste, this product contains absolutely nothing else.
Directions
I found the directions on the AriZona Peach Diet Iced Tea Mix interesting. They read “For best results, start with a 2 quart container. To achieve real brewed tea flavor, empty contents of 1 tub into container and add 1 cup WARM water. Stir to dissolve. Add the remaining COLD water…” I wonder if this works with all iced tea mixes. I’m going to try this with my Lipton.
Taste Test and Conclusion
Guy still doesn’t love iced tea, but he does enjoy drinking a refreshing glass of AriZona Peach Diet Iced Tea from time to time. At least he has cut down on his consumption of diet colas. I tried this sugar-free drink and I like it as well. Because it’s made with Splenda®, there’s no after taste, and I like that.
Overall, I highly recommend AriZona Peach Diet Iced Tea Mix. I give a 10 out of 10 stars for taste, quality and value.
